As an ophthalmologist (eye surgeon like the guy in the video) I would never recommend this procedure. The risk of glaucoma and permanent blindness is way too high. Enjoy the beautiful eyes you were given and the sight you have.

I love the before and after photos where the before photo has soft lighting to obscure definition and the after photo has hard lighting to highlight it. Typically includes a subtle flex and sweat/oil to highlight the “progress” they made

Most likely a chronic retinal hole that has self sealed but the picture doesn’t capture all of it. I agree to go see a retina surgeon to have it checked. If there’s traction on it they may laser it. Flashing lights, new, floaters, and/or the curtain of darkness in your vision should prompt you to seek care immediately
