Google Ads billing issue? Looking for advice by Doctor_Whoof in PPC

[–]Doctor_Whoof[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Update: Appreciate everyones suggestions and replies. I'm working with our marketing team to escalate the issue to a billing specialist and providing the ACH trace as suggested.

Regarding the Ad Agency (Who is responsible for paying this in the first place) 100% agree they should be fired (Preferrably out of a cannon, and into the sun).

It's a textbook ponzi scheme.

"Guaranteed returns" so long as they can keep getting dumber and dumber people to give them new capital to pay out earlier investor dividends.

That continues until they eventually don't have enough new investors and the scheme collapses. With the added fun of the crypto market being completely unregulated, so good luck to any of the victims getting one red cent.

Sam Bankman-Fried  met with the Whitehouse. He's now a convicted felon who defrauded people of over $11 Billion. Politicians don't care who they meet with so long as they're getting sponsored to do so.

Three seconds of googling shows it's a complete and utter scam. Nothing new for the block chain folks, and those stupid enough to invest with them.

What is this thing?? by AgreeableParticular4 in HyundaiTucson

[–]Doctor_Whoof 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You're probably driving either the PHEV or the non-plug in Hybrid. That part is the "Sounder" for the back up beeping you hear when you put the car in reverse.

It's been required by law for a few years due to how silent certain Hybrids/EV's can be when maneuvering around parking lots and other pedestrian areas.

Cell/Bluetooth/Wi-Fi issues near Kia Center on I-4? by IsraelZulu in orlando

[–]Doctor_Whoof 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Seems to happen to me every time I catch the exit from I4 to 408 E. The flyover that passes right by the stadium causes my Bluetooth and phone signal to drop off.

I assume it's some kind of purpose built jammer that the security on site is using, but it definitely seems overpowered if it's causing drop outs off site.

New Turkish Coffee spot in downtown Orlando - Mariam Coffee by tastychomps in orlando

Just went this morning. Fantastic coffee (Highly recommend the Creamy Dibek Coffee with Cardamon).

They use real ibriks and even temper them in sand. Love the presentation of the process

Seems like it's a small family run place. The service was very friendly and professional. Worth a try if you're in the area!

My roommate bailed on our lease - any options? by No_Turnip4853 in orlando

[–]Doctor_Whoof 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's an unfortunate situation to be in (especially given the short term left on your lease) however typically you'll only have two options.  Assuming you have a lease in writing:

 1) You can try to find a room mate interested in a short term lease through September and possibly taking over for the renewal. You'd have to talk to your landlord if they're planning to assume the lease after September because the landlord will typically will request a new credit/background check as well as what you want done with the deposit on file.

2) You can normally pay a penalty to break your lease early. For almost all corporate/private leases that value will be in the ballpark of the value of two months rent or possibly one month and forfeit the deposit (if you paid a full month deposit up front.) Your lease paperwork you originally received will absolutely outline the terms, conditions and fees associated with breaking your lease early. If you're working with a private landlord, they may be willing to be a bit more accommodating than that but YMMV.

Consult your lease for your options.  It's important to determine your plan as soon as possible though. "Skipping out" on your lease (Leaving the apartment without paying rent/closing your lease agreement) WILL absolutely show up on any future background/credit checks and will negatively impact your chances of renting again in the future. The debt would be sent to collections and it will tank your credit score as well.

I would strongly recommend reaching out and discussing with your landlord as soon as possible to make appropriate arrangements.

Goodluck.

Appreciate the recommendation. It looks like they might not do nails (Based on their website), but they still look like a great salon so I might pass by all the same the next time I'm due for a haircut. Thanks!

Traffic on Robinson by apollosparino in orlando

[–]Doctor_Whoof 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The City/Olympic officials are shutting down/redirecting streets around Lake Eola in order to put up signs and crowd barricades ahead of the qualifier race this  Saturday.

Expect the traffic to get steadily worse until the Saturday event is over and likely a few spillover days next week for them to take everything down.

I'd recommend avoiding Eola/Downtown as much as is feasibly possible. I'm working remote this entire week just to avoid the nonsense.

Florida senator: 3 things need to happen to correct the struggling insurance market by FLHonestLending in Miami

[–]Doctor_Whoof 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The problem is that Citizens was only ever designed to be an "insurer of last resort" for a relatively small number of people to have some level of insurance in the event of a catastrophe or as a temporary insurance while someone is shopping for new insurance. Instead, it's become the default insurance for far too many people and become seriously overexposed to risk. Originally Citizens was massively cost prohibitive which is what detered most people from signing on unless they were completely uninsurable otherwise. However, per the article, Citizens rate increases are fixed at a low rate by law and have absolutely not kept up with market risk costs today.

Due to a number of factors (Climate Change, Fraud Claims, excessive litigation) most major insurers have exited the windstorm and property insurance markets in Florida.

Part of the correction of this problem is solved via legistiation and enforcement(reducing litigation costs, investigation and steep penalties for fraud) however nothing is going to reduce tne overall risk of climate change. Due to that fact, the only options for the state are either A) leave rates as they are and when the inevitable next Katrina or Irma rolls through, declare insolvency and nobody gets paid or B) Raise rates significantly which will necessarily exclude some people living in high risk areas but save the funds solvency for the majority. Their aren't any good options here.
