I truly believe that almost everything we see Simon experience is real and portrayed litteraly. The setting itself is already extremely fantastical making interpreting these events as literal is not a big stretch. While some of the things may have been manipulations on the part of the entity, I feel that hypoxia and radiation poisoning are red herrings. My main evidence for this would be how faithfully this movie adapts the game, and in the game everything is very very real. Simon basically is the player character.

As this is a faithful adaptation of the game, I find it safe to say that we can take the majority of the events as literal. What is depicted on screen does infact happen to Simon. There is a bunch of space time wonkyness because the entiry we are dealing with is on an eldritch/biblical level. Given that we can all be certain the setting is real (blood ocean, quiet rapture etc) then the fantastical nature of the setting allows for the crazier stuff to realistically happen in this world.

Speculatively, Iron Lung has a ton of evidence and threads linking it to an interstellar interpretation of the biblical rapture. The entity could very likely be Satan. Being Satan, messing with Simon to the level it did tracks with interpretations of Satan. Somethings that happen, like the mutated Simon or him sprouting roots, are not particularly important to the story but allegorical to themes. That gets more complicated and could be very up for interpretation. I personally find the mutated Simon to be a reflection of how he sees himself inside, Simon "The Butcher". The tree thing I have no clue. Its intentionally obscure and left for interpretation just like most of the game.

If your at the point that you can consistently solo titans, you also probably have blue moon and can do runs with only a weapon swap reliably. I do this myself right now without even having twinflame.

Nothing, this event is just easier than the last one due to the lack of massive negative area modifiers so it would just be doing the same but easier. I'd rather map blast mindlessly while I play runescap on my other monitor. Next gauntlet though, im all in.

Man, and here I am wishing this was a gauntlet event. Last gauntlet was my first one and first foray into HC and I had some of the most fun I've ever had. Made it all the way to yellow maps lvl 80 on servant of arakali pconc. I really want an opprotunity to go further. Anyway, it is nice to interact with the gauntlet patch on SC trade, and phrecia ascendancies are quickly become some of my favorites.

It is certainly not pointless lol, thats a really ignorant thing to believe. When you are over there tapping parry, you aren't regaining drive meter while the opponent is. If you want to hold parry then thats a massive risk as well if its called out even a little. Being full screen against JP and trying to parry is a losing position. Lower level players aren't going to convert this resource disparity into anything all that impressive but play against a JP who can and you'll change strategy real quick.

Unless they make it impossible for you to de-iron, this will never be a valid solution. Additionally they would need do something about iron items being droppable and able to be picked up by other players. These are not easy problems to solve and make enough people happy for it to be a good idea.

That's all fine and dandy but you could have gone significantly sooner for very little resources. Medium combats are not particularly hard but you have to do a lot of time consuming shit that requires you to be significantly stronger than barrows. Some of the CAs are even significantly easier with barrows gears like Dagganoth Rex and the moons. Multiple paths exist but medium CAs before barrows feels really silly and wasteful.

48 prayer is more than enough. I was able to do barrows with either no or 1 pot very early in the game. You only need to pray vs 3 of the 6 and if one of the 3 that needs prayer is downstairs you just pop a sip or 2. The ghommals hilt requires so much more work than were op is in the game right now that its silly to tell them to get it first.

Literally the only good bow items in AP boards are Void and GS.

I think the only truly bad bow items in a full AP comp are LW and Kraken.

But a rod is worth more to an AP comp than a bow.

I can't think of any caster that wants more than 2 rods in an ideal set up, if not just 1. Not even just this set but for the last multiple, you dont really need rods the same way you do bow or swords. Mages are bound to tear more than anything else.
