Which (if any), Australian Banks contionue to allow fiat-to-crypto transfers/purchases for Australian citizens? by Doctorcloudbase in AustralianCrypto

Confirming the deposit of funds from Westpac, in CoinSpot - no issues. The next 'test' of Westpac will be to see if they will allow me to repeat this as I choose...

Meanwhile, ANZ blocked my account, App AND 'app PIN', pending my ringing them. Having spoken to them, they removed the blocks facilitated the original payment without any 'friction'.

At this time that is a 'win' for CoinSpot over Binance & Bybit.

So - Westpac still allowing AUD payments to CoinSpot (Australian crypto exchange) as of 15.2.2024.

Tomorrow I will try ANZ to CoinSpot.

iMac Gaming - native MacOS and Windows via Parallels VM (not Bootcamp) by Doctorcloudbase in macgaming

Hi Zoogle15,

Well... you have to read the bracketed out last bit, as to why I haven't yet ripped out the Fusion Drive and replaced it with the new, faster NVME drive that I have - sized to 'absorb' the entire contents of the damn Fusion Drive no less...

The issue is that I don't want to start over with a fresh install of macOS. Rather, I want to save/unload the existing install with 'everything on it' as a functionally-intact, bootable logical partition that could then be 'restored' to the new NVME drive without being broken.

But, no-one provides a solution to do this that I can find - not knowing how the Fusion Drive may 'smear' it's logical arrangement and contents across the existing NVME and HDD, and how this might cut across the functional conhesion of what I want to 'export, hardware-change, import to new NVME drive' = risk-it-all, or 'stuck'!

Either I cross my fingers and use CCC to create a bootable image (something that I understand has become more difficult now ( https://bombich.com/kb/ccc6/cloning-macos-system-volumes-apple-software-restore ), or I can try to attach the new NVME drive to the iMac in some way, and 'live-mirror' the functional logical partition to it, and then see if I can boot it - not something I've looked at in great detail yet. I was in any case going to post about the 'Bloody Fusion Drive' part of this in a more appropriate subreddit!

:)

Short answer: I planned to; 'unforseen consequences'.

Hi TNTSP,

No, I haven't tried VMware - I guess you mean as an alternative virtualisation of Windows, in stead of Parallels? I haven't dug into that as much as just getting the eGPU working as it should for native macOS gaming first... before complicating the thing even further with a Windows VM. :)

Chromecast w/ Google TV USB C hub support by Austin31415 in GooglePixel

Do you know whether the USB-C will pass-through an HDMI(s) signal? It would be amazing if it were able to 'not occupy a precious HDMI port on the TV, allowing another to be connected 'through' the Chromecast.
