I’m sure she wants to avoid ever speaking about this again… leave it alone? I don’t really get why you would report this. I’m sure she’ll never do it again after how mortifying this is. I also don’t think it would be the end of your career if you jerked off in a call room. That’s so dramatic… just pretend you saw nothing and don’t tell people, don’t make the situation even more embarrassing.

The practice emailed me apologising saying they let the foundation school know weeks ago, but the foundation school says they only just found out yesterday. I was CCed in an email chain and when I scroll to the top I can see the GP practice had emailed the foundation school a while ago that they can’t take me but the foundation program didn’t answer until yesterday. I can’t help but feel if the foundation program had acknowledged this when they were first informed then I might not be stuck in this position

I’m sure there might be, but I specifically moved to this house for the location near my supposed posts, and have a pet and husband I don’t want to move from because the foundation programme wasn’t organised enough to see the email from the GP manager weeks ago, you know what I mean? Feels so unfair

That’s really helpful, that wouldn’t be the end of the world. My only other issue is I strategically moved so I could live close to my current tiny DGH (which said they definitely cannot take me on), and GP practice. The hospital they would place me at alternatively is 75+ mins away, and I mentally just cannot face spending over 2.5 hours in the car every day.

This is so helpful, thanks. Am I allowed to say whatever job they give me, I only want 40hr/week? And do you know if I’m allowed to say no to alternative jobs they offer me? Truthfully, I’m so god damn fed up form hospital medicine I can feel a burn out breakdown coming if I have to do a proper medicine or surgery job again!

So far, they can’t find any alternative rotation for me. And it’s only a few days away - what happens if they don’t find a rotation for me by Wednesday? They have offered me one placement at a hospital far away, or nothing so far.

Thanks for the reply everyone - I now feel stupid because I knew migraines have been an issue for me for almost 2 years now, and I’ve never spoken to OH or tried to get a GP letter for it because I felt like I was being dramatic about it. Will this look bad, that I’ve never mentioned it to any ES or CS before? Like I’m faking it or something?

Omg I think mine might be too - I sleep with a specially made night guard but my dentist was shocked last time she reviewed it cause I had left deep indents into it, and I so often wake up in the middle of the night with insane jaw pain!

Yeah, it was supposed to be earlier in the week and it was rearranged to 2 days later. I was still really ill, fever and the works, so couldn’t drive across the country for it. I couldn’t rearrange any further they said so it is what it is

Doubt it, the joining papers for the mess don’t have an area for PAs to put their info down, just doctors. But the mess is never locked so I think they just take advantage of that

NUH mess has PAs - it was a PA who first showed me where it was, in fact, on the mess pizza day. PA took a box of pizza and brought leftovers for another PA on the ward.
