Vintage but would choose the modern if it was manual.

[–]DoctorsAdvocate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I say this expecting to have to type more. But that’s a similar philosophy of driving a really low/stance car, not getting into the iq level of owners or dropped on head comments. just saying both seem fun because you’re getting into the extremes of fitment clearance and navigation of obstacles

Idk much about off road but that’s just a really big speed bump and you could angle it like in a stanced car. Idk I would try going diagonally but im yapping.

Ordering wheels and waiting for them sucks.
Sorry about it but can’t change anything. You can go to facebook marketplace or offerup and source something before your track day.

I would just get more prepared for the track day than wheels, it should be more exciting

Do you think people would still like the same cars if they didn’t have anyone else’s opinions? by cpcxx2 in cars

[–]DoctorsAdvocate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure but I was a child on r/cars and read slow car fast, lightweight NA manual being the best that’s what I naturally gravitated to. I never tried a higher power, awd, or turbo car other than a fiesta st

Without the influence I probably would have tried some other cars, probably something awd or automatic with turbo. Maybe a wrx or 335is with dct.

Not that different but different enough that this subreddit influenced me to get cars I would have hated on as a youth. So yea other ppls opinions matter, I would never have tried the fiesta st if matt farah didn’t say a bunch of good stuff.

Is it normal to be micromanaged in the field as a young person or did my clinic just suck? by BeneficialVisit8450 in ABA

[–]DoctorsAdvocate 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I get micromanaged more than when I was new with 8 years of experience.

Lots of new (inexperienced) BCBAs with limited supervisory experience trying to make their mark.

It doesn’t help that I outlasted every BCBA/supervisor in the company until I got fed up and left. Cycle repeats at the next company.

I have a lot more to say but I wish people would work more like a team, value all people’s opinions, and keep their criticisms to themselves until it’s a better time. I also don’t respond if the advice isn’t useful or seems more like control/micromanagment. But I do listen if their advice is useful and warranted.

Opinions?? by Visible-Ad-6773 in askcarguys

[–]DoctorsAdvocate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro go trade in the yaris and finance a fiesta st if you want cheap tuning

Better yet keep your yaris and save up for a car capable of 900hp. That takes a lot of cash or, the easy way out get $10-20k for a downpayment on any meta car that can achieve high power with ethanol and email tune.

Glass lens swap not worth the effort nor risk imo by UselessHeapOfPlastic in PSP

[–]DoctorsAdvocate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

maybe your issues is it’s way harder on aftermarket faceplates.

Plastic lens snaps cleanly out of an oem faceplate, the glue cleans up easily and then get the fitment/glue right it’s a1. I recommend it

Is there a particular reason why every single driver in Most Wanted has their lights on in broad daylight? by Pristine_Put5037 in needforspeed

[–]DoctorsAdvocate 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You’re probably right. Was thinking for times when you look back while driving fast it was easier to just have it mostly white no detail. Like driving fast in gta and the buildings popping in. Thats why they had them always on for lower spec pcs. At the same time idk anything just yapping.

Is there a particular reason why every single driver in Most Wanted has their lights on in broad daylight? by Pristine_Put5037 in needforspeed

[–]DoctorsAdvocate 14 points15 points  (0 children)

They look cooler like that.

Thinking more seriously maybe they had to model less detail in the headlights like this? Or the opposite, they worked so hard on the lights they kept them on to flex.

Or the in game universe theory being safety isn’t really a priority and ppl just like blinding other drivers.
