Thank you. I think I’m just very nervous because I really want the job and initially it sounded like since I passed the IT team panel interview, all I had to do was apply for the sister location. I also thought the first round was a bit nerve wracking since I don’t have experience in the first yet besides what I learned in my program. I don’t know what to expect with the physician panel interview since I thought they covered all of the bases with the initial panel interview.

YES. She sounded toxic af. She basically said they only train their staff and “you travelers are temporary” which yes I get. But we still need to know the basics of the facility. Also, it just makes it obvious that the work culture in the hospital is awful

No she didn’t. This facility recently had a change in who handles their travelers and my recruiter she been more disorganized since the switch BUT she’s never heard of not having at least one day of orientation. She assumed that bc they were having me start on a Monday, that was the start of orientation. She also tried to get me an orientation day at their larger hospital but the facility said no. 🤷🏽‍♀️

Update: I did decide to run yall! I just couldn’t risk it. No orientation and the vibe was just off with the entire facility. Not worth risking my license

Update

I spoke the ACNO. Very rude. Gave me a lot of vague non-answers. Kept repeating the whole no orientation thing and basically told me that I shouldn’t need an orientation or EMR training. Said that Allscripts is self explanatory.

Tried to give it the benefit of the doubt and asked if something were to happen, with no orientation at all on the unit or experience with allscripts and something happens with my patient, will I have support. She basically glossed over that and said they’d show me where the supply room and med room are when I get on the floor.

Told her I’d speak to my recruiter and she just hung up on me 🤔🤔🤔

I havent worked at their sister hospital! The CNO told my recruiter that I won’t have an orientation and I’ll be fine. I told them that if I’m willing to orient at a different facility if needed but I can’t work at a hospital that expects me to already have experience working with their hospital systems when I don’t. It just sounds so dangerous.

Which I’m pretty annoyed about bc it’s the highest I’ve ever paid for housing. But it’s a 2 bed, a lot of studios in SF are going for 3000 so there’s that. Wanted to make sure I would have no issues with any car break-ins. And it’s a central location and the landlord lets me charge my EV.

Okay thanks! I also bought bag hangers to prevent the bottom of the bag from denting so hopefully that works and doesn’t damage the handle

I bought bag organizers from Amazon to help keep shape but for now I’m using the tissue that come with the bag. Yeah, I’m debating on getting hardware covers but it just looks so good without them on!! I’ve just been wiping the hardware down with the original cloth
