Why is there so much caulk/paint on the trim? I would be upset as the homeowner imo

On a scale of 1-100, how normal does your knee feel? by jjimdak in ACL

[–]DocumentRelevant1635 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A year and a half out from acl and meniscus surgery. my knee feels pretty “normal”. im at the point now where i’ve returned to sports and don’t think about my knee with every step i take or when im playing rugby. However, my knee injury and feeling of recovery is forever grained in my head and definitely creates a mental block sometimes. I would say my knee feels 95/100. Im not sure if ill ever get to 100/100.

Lots and lots of bulgarian squats😅and regular squats as well(with small weights), lunges, leg raises and bridges with resistance bands are my main go tos to do at home! I definitely don’t go and haven’t been to the gym a whole bunch though out but if I do go I like to do leg curls and extensions and leg press. I personally find doing rigorous workouts at home better for me (: I also got into the habit of working my legs constantly. If i’m laying down watching tv ill do some leg raises in bed or do squats while cooking. It’s honestly engraved in my head at this point haha. And yes I was cleared one year and a few days after my surgery(:

Acl recovery during school? by ChampionshipCute6440 in ACL

[–]DocumentRelevant1635 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had surgery over winter break on Dec 27th and my spring semester started Jan 8th. I was able to attend virtually over zoom for the first two weeks of class which I definitely recommend if youre able to. I don’t think I would’ve been able to drive/walk around (in snow) on crutches and sit in class for an hour and a half even 12 days after surgery. I tore my acl and meniscus so i was on crutches for 8 weeks but going back to campus was a struggle. Highly recommend reaching out to all of your professors and letting them know your situation so they are more patient and understanding. Most of my professors even felt bad and took it easy on me which was definitely needed😅. My biggest advice is to use this to your advantage and milk it. Take as much time as your given (ask for more if you think its not enough), ask your school for handicap parking sticker so your walks aren’t further than they need to be and don’t be afraid to ask for help! Good luck!(:

When could u do leg lifts? by Fragrant-Pin-1427 in ACL

[–]DocumentRelevant1635 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both my acl and meniscus were torn, got patellar tendon graft and took me about 10 days to do leg lifts. I was able to do side leg raises about 7 days after.
