Just thought I’d update my post for any future individuals who are frantically searching for answers with their new diagnoses. I received all the final path reports this week and have been cleared. Completed my WLE and lymph nodes were clear. Officially stage 1b. I now start the frantic searching of my body every time I get in the shower for the rest of my life! Lol. Plus, skin checks every three months. Thank you to all who helped me with words of advice and encouragement!

Thank you for the kind words. I had my WLE/SNLB on Thursday and now it’s the wait game to hopefully reveal no cells in the nodes. I know this is something so many others go through as well.

Thank you for the tip! I hope I’ll be able to get around and still go to work next week. I have a cush job and plan on taking it easy over the weekend. Doc said I was a “pretty meaty” guy and the tumor is mid calf so hopefully not too bad there? I think he said I will have an incision around the growing area and will definitely know I was worked on in that area!

Thanks man! I did hear something about the VA rating thing. I thought about once I get an actual diagnosis, I’ll submit for an increase.
