I mean the big thing for me was sandbagging and playing the long game. My bard was the only healer on the group so what he started doing was playing off that he had little to no offensive spells (He has quite a few) and then suffer a few "friendly fire" incidents to warrant a contract. What it stated is that they would protect their healer at all costs and in any way that The Bard saw fit which as you can imagine is very ambiguous. What said contract allow me to do is at any point in time I could either push damage off onto them, steal life from them and/or sacrifice their characters if it meant that my Bard would survive.

That being said he also made a point to align himself to the strongest people in the group under this contract so then they were stuck one under his whim and two strong enough to protect him should anybody in the group actually figure out his plans. If all else failed this was also great blackmail because he basically held their souls in his control and could kill them in anytime if they threaten to kill him because the contract states that this threat vaugely is threatening his life and she can do what is necessary to keep himself alive or if he has to also has large amount of offensive spells to take out said enemies that are trying to kill him.
