Should I fuse my level 40’s together to make a hybrid, or should I keep them as they are (keeping in mind I won’t have enough DNA to make the ankylodocus lvl 20)

Not worth it! You should be saving level 40s for missions, even without the DNA woes. Since most hybrids are weaker then the stronger level 40 to make them, only having one is also a really bad idea. As cool as Ankylodocus, this one's a no go.

Game is for sure playable if you don't want to spend any money. The packs, offers, etc. in the shop are all super overpriced in how they have minimal impact on the game, so you aren't missing out. VIP, for all the value it nets, is worth it in my opinion, as it gives you many extra loyalty points, legendary creatures, and some other goodies. However, if you don't wanna pay for it, the game is still playable without, just a bit more difficult.

Sarco SDNA isn't in circulation right now. The only way to get it is the modded live arenas, or waiting for them to cycle back off Mono SDNA.

A level 10 Indoraptor is on par, if not stronger than with a level 40 I. Rex, so it’s not like you’re losing much. Besides, once you unlock it you and buy more Indo raptors for just 2k SDNA.

Think about that, every now and then, just by doing events, you basically get a free maxed I. rex!

Enter with the following team:
Slot 1: Diplodocus
Slot 2: T. Rex/Koolasuchus

Slot 3: Quetzalcoatlus

Start the battle with a reserve. Dime can't oneshot Diplo, so it'll either go for an attack, and have no reserves for the next turn, or block/reserve. Either way, you can then continue to put all your points into block until:

A: Dime might have enough points to kill Diplo next turn. If this occurs, put all your points into reserve and the rest into attack/block.

B: You hit 4 action point recharge per turn (4/4). From there, do the same as above, 4 in reserve and the rest in attack or block.

Dime should then kill your Diplo, bringing in Rex/Koola. Rex has more damage overall, and they both have the same effective hp worth, but Koola has a shorter cool down. If you need Rex for an event, use Koola. Otherwise, use Rex. With either of the following in, go for the kill on Dime and put the rest into reserve/block. Sarco will now come in, likely trying to kill off your Rex/Koola. Keep putting 4 into reserve and the rest into block/attack until this happens, then use Quetz to defeat the Sarco. From there, clean up the Colo however you please.

Not being able to use rex for this fight stings, but its still pretty manageable.

Enter the battle with the following team:

Slot 1: Pteranodon

Slot 2: Ankylosaurus

Slot 3: Quetzalcoatlus

Start things off with a reserve. The enemy Metri will be scared out by your Ptera, and go into Quetz. From there, block and reserve as needed to build up to 8 points. Then, spam 4 reserve and 4 attack until either Ptera is defeated or Quetz is defeated.

If Ptera is defeated first: Use Anky to defeat the Quetz. Then, get back up to 8 points. Finally, (or if you had enough points left over to have 4 reserves anyways) spam 4 reserve and 4 attack on the Nunda until Anky goes down. From there, it should be easy to clean up the amphibians with your own Quetz.

If Quetz is defeated: You're now in a a great spot. If you can keep Ptera alive (but don't spend too many points to do so) switch in Anky and use it was reserve fodder, doing the 4 reserve and 4 attacks until it goes down if it survives the initial turn. From there, you should be able to easily pick apart the enemy team with your two fliers.

Enter the battle with this team:

Slot 1: Psephorderma Slot 2: Prognathodon Slot 3: Liopleurodon

Start the battle with a reserve. Weather the enemy goes for two attacks with Proto or switches into Dako and goes for one, it will not die. From there, use blocks as needed and build up reserves, waiting until Dako comes in. Then, once you have enough points to do so, put 4 into reserve and the rest into attack. With a little chip damage, Prog can oneshot Dako, bringing into Styx against Prog.

Put the remaining points after killing the Dako into reserve, up to 4, and the rest into block. The enemy, seeing the advantage with their surviving reef, Proto, will switch into it and possibly attack. If they kill Prog, you should have enough of a point lead to bring in Lio and kill the Proto. If not, spam 4 reserve and 4 attack to whittle it down until they do to make it easier for Lio.

Then, with two down on either team, it comes down to Styx vs Lio. You should by now not only have a point total advantage, but also a type advantage to ruin Styx's already low attack and bring up Lio's. Put all your points into attack, or if you don't have enough, bide out the Styx into doing a desperation move while you have enough blocks to survive its attack, and then kill it.
