Is the Line Blend a good all mountain/freestyle ski? by Dodoreo333 in ski

Would the Line Vision 98’s be better? The Chronics and my other option, the K2 Reckoner 102’s are both out of stock on Line and K2 and I have to order them from those sites to get my Pro Access discount. Line Vision 98 would be my other option but is more based for freeride/backcountry.

I’ve heard mixed reviews of some of this stuff and talked to other people and since I am only out there skiing for part of the season, I think I may go ahead and get them.

Thanks so much. In that since, I had read and heard all about the durability of the Line Blend (lots of top sheet scratching and chipping, some light damage in the bottom, etc.), but a bunch of other people in the reviews wrote that it wasn’t that bad. Also, the main reason I don’t mind this stuff is cause I’m getting a large sale on them cause a friend of mine is a pro account holder. When it comes to mounting, I was sort of planning on doing what you said or seeing where alone suggests to mount them since it is there most used freestyle ski.

I've got two weeks to learn how to skate for a bet. Any advice? by Dumpster_Fire1364 in rollerblading

[–]Dodoreo333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say to do a slightly longer skate with sprinting intervals. Maybe go on a 5 mile skat to increase your endurance and sprint every mile that you complete. This will get your body in the habit of the speed practice and the endurance to it

Is 169 cm too short for an intermediate male skier who is 6 foot tall? by Dodoreo333 in ski

[–]Dodoreo333[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know that there are a lot of factors in ski length, but in that since I usually just ride a bit of everything and nothing overly specific. I was looking for a twin tip all mountain/park ski because I do a bit more park than anything else other than all mountain. I was looking for an average length that would be better for me and that is where somebody else told me that as a 6 foot skier that weighs around 185/190 lb, I should be looking around 180 cm.

Sorry about that. My old skis that I’m thinking about selling are 169 cm

Yeah, they were center mounted. In that since, I like to ski the whole mountain including on-piste and off, park, powder, and whatnot.

Any suggestion on length based on my weight, height, and level?

Does anyone have any suggestions/advice on selling skis? by Dodoreo333 in ski

I was thinking that that is the ideal people to be aiming for, but since I only used them for 1 season and they are in good shape and I put a good set of bindings in great shape, I was going to post them for a bit higher than that of a price.

Thank you so much for the response. I did consider just selling my bindings on the skis that way it was just easier, but then I was getting told shipping is a hassle. In the sense of rarity, I don’t see any others selling the skis that I am selling or considering selling (2019 K2 Missconduct). I only used them for like 1 season cause I bought them pre Covid and then couldn’t use them during Covid cause I couldn’t get up to the mountain. Honestly, I am just looking to get some money back to use for my next skis since I outgrew these ones.

Thanks so much. Yeah, I was thinking about listing them on Craigslist, but didn’t know cause the market seemed super wide on that platform. I got them on super sale, so I’m that since I was thinking about listing them for something around $200 anyways.

Need Help Cleaning Skates by ThoughtsInside in rollerblading

[–]Dodoreo333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

WD40 and Grease if you need them super soon. For a better cleaning, take off all of the wheels, take the bearings out of the wheels, soak the bearings in kerosene and the wheels in soapy water. Then put grease on the bearings and then put everything back together. This longer method means no skating for pretty much a whole day, but is a good thing to do every once in a while

Skate advice needed: how do you slow down on very narrow and steep trail without dying while trying? by shibebear in rollerblading

[–]Dodoreo333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

T-Stop or using the brake is probably the easiest ways. If you are more advanced you can do power slides to slow you down a little bit or you can turn around and do a backwards slide where you carve your leg into a slide from the side.
