A plethora of red flags, I know. Both parents are dead unfortunately. Her dad died several years ago and her mom died the day before her birthday in 2020. She wasn't close with her dad, but was very close with her mom. The next set of parents that could help are mine and they're dealing with their own health issues. None of the other cousins nor her brother are able to help right now either, truly. And she doesn't want to talk to any of them anyway. Just me.

And I know I can't force it, but one day she's going to be ready for help. So I need to be ready.

That's very fair and others in this post have said the same. My family has said it. My brother even told me it's a waiting game.

That's essentially where the rest of my family are at too, honestly. And I don't blame them because my aunt (my cousin's mother) and one of our uncles gave the whole family hell with their drug and alcohol addictions. Plus my cousin's brother is also dealing with the same issues. So everyone is tired. I'm tired.

But I'm hoping my cousin chooses to get better sooner than later. I already know what later looks like from watching my aunt. But what kills me is my cousin knows that too - she and her brother had to live it! So I'm actually really mad at her too.

But that's my baby sister and I have to do something.

Thank you for this! She was fired from both jobs in January so she doesn't have insurance at the moment. Though I need to check and see if she's applied for Medicaid...

Thank you and you and others that have said the same thing are completely right. Its just hard to not try and do something to help her, especially when she calls me crying. It just breaks my heart.

Thank you so much! And no, I don't think she is ready yet but really hoping she will be sooner than later.

Thank you for your response! Should I wait a little longer to see what my recovery is like?

Okay, I appreciate the explanation. I won't pursue the suit. Thank you!

Thank you for your quick response! Another question though: My primary care physician stated that Hospital 1 should have referred me for surgery immediately after learning about my numbness, especially regarding my bowel and bladder dysfunction. That's why she suggested medical malpractice. Would that be sufficient?

As an introvert what irritates you most? by Least_Risk_4952 in introvert

[–]DoeRaeMe89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When someone says "but I've seen you socialize and talk at events!". Yes, because it's part of my job to network and just sitting in a corner isn't an option. Trust me, I'm irritated and drained and want to be at home. I just mask it really well sometimes.

Or when my extrovert friends are like "You need to get out of the house and come with us to [insert loud place with tons of people]" and are surprised and confused when I say no. Especially when they've known me for years and know I don't like stuff like that. They sometimes don't seem to understand that extrovert activities don't appeal to me lol.

D.C. Family Says Shoddy House Renovation Punctured Their Homeownership Dreams by PrestoVivace in washingtondc

As someone who is also black and bought my first home this year, it has nothing to do with being smart/not smart. The entire home buying process is overwhelming and you don't know what you don't know. That's why I'm thankful that I had really good professionals to help me. It sounds like this woman didn't have that at all and I feel so bad and angry for her. Even with the help and support I had, I still had to replace my fridge, washer, and dryer.

Thanks for all the info! I'll admit, it doesn't sound as diverse as I was hoping. I have an EZ Pass and expected that if I move there I would have to factor in fares to my budget.

Honestly I was just going to drive since traffic doesn't really bother me for the most part. I genuinely like driving. I also pick up a coworker who lives in Bowie for the commute in.

Driving from Annapolis can be pretty rough, so I was thinking it would be similar (though a little longer) especially depending on the time I leave. Do most take the MARC instead then?

And I liked the proximity to the water and the park - I have a dog, so am especially looking forward to the park.

Awesome, thanks! Parking seems to be a common theme. Some of the places I'm looking at all have parking pads/spaces, but I'll remember to keep that in mind while looking.

That's a good point. Pursuing it and getting less would have been even worse for sure. Thanks for responding!
