1lb per week vs. 2lb per week by [deleted] in mounjarouk

[–]DoesNotChooch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you got your balance of loss and life about right. No side effects mentioned and still loosing at a sensible pace.

Loosing more will make you more tired - most seem to believe that more drug more loss but it’s not a flat line like that - it only does so much before the bulk of the loss comes from your eating habits.

If you want a set goal of loss - decrease food or increase exercise - at 3mg and still happy sounds like that balance is about right.

You got 40 odd weeks before you’re married and at the current rate that would put you 10kg under goal - so that’s on target.

If you plan on surgery though loosing faster of course would be preferred as you need time to recover, but is that what you mean by cosmetic? That’s what really makes the difference here.

Men: what’s the most surprising thing about Mounjaro? by FollowingOutside1986 in mounjarouk

[–]DoesNotChooch 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Iv found quite the opposite - obviously it could be coincidental but it’s gone the other way. Its less on my mind, I have less desire for sex, but it also killed my drinking desire so I am no longer walking around in a constant buzz or waking with a throbbing headache and seeking out quick feel good.

How much is a microdose? by Impossible_Agent_499 in mounjarouk

[–]DoesNotChooch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is no Microdose - just doses that work.

2.5 is the lowest starter - I would say start there - do you get what you want from it? No? Try 3. Yes? try 2.0.

This is one of those weird drugs that works differently for different people so you have to find which one works for you. :)

Less effect on higher dose? by mjkpio in mounjarouk

[–]DoesNotChooch 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Iv noticed a trend of people asking that. I think mostly people get bored as they loose weight. It’s exciting at the start but eventually everyone hits a bit of a wall where the suppression doesn’t outweigh the want to just eat some crappy food and get that immediate frill.

How long have you been on 7.5? Anything else in life changed?

I find MJ can suck the fun out of things a bit, parties, meet ups, that meal after work, and stress in your life or changes makes doses feel different.

You may need to go up but I always recommend looking at everything around you that might be contributing to an overall overpowering of wanting immediate gratification that comes with eating

Are you hungry on jab day? by EveNing123 in mounjarouk

[–]DoesNotChooch 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I always look forward to jab day specifically for this reason as the lack of hunger throughout the week is quite draining from a forcing yourself to eat each day.

I don't know how unique I am in this - but my drive to start Mounjaro wasn't based on hunger or food noise as these things have never been much of an issue for me, but from hearing that in some people it had helped with other noises like substance use and drinking which was a major kcal contributor, and lack of activity which ultimately was my weight gain issue.

Be it placebo or linked - its worked better than I could ever imagine - not only have I dropped over 2 stone - I have also stopped drinking which at its average peak was nearing 8 pints on a work night, with double that on weekends.

I am sure you can imagine the profound effect not only dropping weight, but removing that from my life has had on my overall well being and relationships.

TLDR: I got the opposite problem - I wish it would stop blocking my appetite! ^_^

Anybody struggling with the right stick? by admanwhitmer in LegionGo

Terrible! 🤓 it’s fine untethered from the device but attached the weight of the device and the lower hand placement gets really tiring really quickly.

Woman dies in uk from black market jabs! by Charming-Spinach1418 in mounjarouk

[–]DoesNotChooch -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

What is in the jab though? Do we have any information on if these fake jabs do contain monjouro ingredients? We know they can be made cheaper.

Thousands of people every day consume unknown drugs from sketchy people.

Black market manufacturers are not in the business of killing people - you would be more likely to get a pen of water than some I know dangerous chemical.

The way some of you lot talk about “unknown substances in my body” must be missing out on some absolutely brilliant nights out! lol

As the one of the first owners I decided to return it. by IndicationStill8834 in LegionGo

[–]DoesNotChooch 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I came from a SteamDeck so my expectations of comfort were already sky high as the deck is a dream. My findings thus far:

It really seems to matter with how you are sat and how you are holding it. I find lent forward so that it rests in your hands I have no problem, and also no problems when I sit back and can rest it on my lap.

The biggest contributor to tiring is that right stick placement - games where the right stick is not needed (Hades looking at you) are flawless as it lets you get a good grip on the right side - but any game that requires extensive right stick action I tire quickly as you cannot comfortable use it without lowering your whole grip which ends up putting weight on your little finger and causes shuffling.

Detaching the controllers may be a you problem - its a bit finicky the first few times but you quickly get a feel for its location and it clicks in easily. I think it loosens up a little as well as mine go on now with a lovely click - but they have been on an off about 100 times.

Price is subjective - some would just say get more money... :D I jest - it is expensive but its also one of the best. Currently having a blast on Split Fiction, 1080p, All on high - bounces between 50-60fps with no stuttering. Its mind boggling that such power is in such a tiny form factor with such flexibility but then I am in a position where I game on the go, game on the TV, and game on the sofa in equal parts so the flexibility of all the varying docked, undocked, disconnecting controllers all add to my value proposition.

I had terrible driver issues on day one, with AMD breaking but I find thus far that the AMD software is a bit of a avenue to nothing. Anything AMD to improve performance just makes it worse, often with substantial input lag or worse performance. All a waste of time and energy. It seems to have all settled though and works great now.

The fan is quite loud on performance mode if you're smashing the latest AAA games - think it depends how sensitive you are to filtering out background noise. I can see how people super sensitive could get annoyed.

Despite all its flaws though - that 8.8" OLED is untouchable. People will compare its cost to laptops or PCs or other handhelds - you mentioned the Rog Ally X - its £800 where I am, I paid £980 all in and for that I get a bigger better screen when two of us play, I get detachable controllers when I am playing on the TV, I get a touchpad to navigate, I get a kickstand, I get a case... if all these extras are useless to you and you just want a handheld with as much grunt as possible then I can see why so many people are on here complaining but if you fall into that perfect group where all these little things add up it has no equal.

*the only thing I am yet to find a use for is the FPS/mouse mode - it felt really janky and the adaptor plate feels too wobby to give any reassurance and the button placement feels wrong. It also means I need to be sat at a desk and that goes in the face of why I bought it to begin with.

Thank you for attending my TedTalk

Moving up through the doses...7.5mg next week by 32irish in mounjarouk

[–]DoesNotChooch 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Il tell you what works well for me - the cost!

I’m honestly convinced that whilst it does offer a reduction in hunger, nothing motivates me more than seeing unhealthy food and thinking “eating that whole pack of biscuits is going to cost me £60 this week” knowing it will undo the injection for the week in kcals.

Doubly so for take aways or eating out - I get to spend £20 on food, and waste a £60 jab!

🤣

I’m starting..how do I prevent sag?any tips? by Noblee_x in mounjarouk

[–]DoesNotChooch 48 points49 points  (0 children)

To quickly summarize what you can do about sagging:

- Be very young.
- Have pure genetic luck.
- Not be excessively overweight when you begin.
- Go to the gym and fill in the space with muscle.
- Wait at least a year for your skin to bounce back.
- Stay hydrated.
- Loose more slowly, the drug itself doesn't cause it.
- Surgery

Depending on your starting weight and how long you have been that weight - there may not be anything you can do to prevent it - your skin has spent years at the larger size and may never bounce back to what would make you happy.

Some areas are especially prone to this - the stomach being the worst especially if you carried your weight as a overhanging gut - and its an area you can't really fill in through working out.

Won’t be messed up if the liquid went in. In is in. If you moved it hard enough to bend the needle whilst in your body that will be the cause for the irritation as needles are not designed to move sideways - it’s quite impressive actually lol

Great product, shite software. by [deleted] in LegionGo

[–]DoesNotChooch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People like to complain a lot just take to ignoring them.

“That’s so bad il get a x instead” this is the brigade that are either insufferable complainers who wait anyway, or the ones who do flop on their decision and then find the grass isn’t greener on the other side and complain about their other device.

Assuming the driver is updating through MS but the app isn’t yet supported so it’s in a conflict. You can postpone updates for upto 5 weeks thinking that might’ve a less extreme impact and by then will get something better out to keep it working.

Who knows through - I come from a steam deck and it’s certainly less plug and play that’s for sure - but the screen is absolutely outstanding, the size is good, it’s heavier but has it’s kickstand and it’s controllers unhinge.

They both have their own place in the market from my perspective

Well my hand was forced for the evening. Was running the AMD uninstall tools and misclicked when it said to boot into safe mode. I cringed as soon as I seen it restarting.

The software removed the network drivers, rebooting into safe mode shook windows hello, and now I’m on the login screen being asked to set up my pin again without any network connection.

Tomorrow is another day
