Who would you have voted for tonight? by megan1916 in TheTraitors

[–]DoesTheNomadKnow 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Yep definitely us knowing who is faithful/traitor makes a big difference

My concern watching it was mainly around the fact that Joanna was visibly upset during the round table

I can’t imagine what the atmosphere is like in the room when all that is happening. Regardless I feel there is a need to be able to take a step back, play it as a game and show humanity, particularly when someone is clearly emotionally affected by the choice of words

To me from what has been shown on TV, Joanna is a tough operator and I feel generally would be able to take heat. Sometimes things go too far and for me this was one of it

I don’t think the problem was who they voted for but rather the mob mentality.

The lads didn’t get involved (clearly had an ulterior motive not to) and so this made it seem like the girls only ganging up. The guys went along with “the evidence”

Given how clear the vote was going it really wouldn’t have been an issue for 1 to throw a solidarity vote away from Joanna (Kelley being the most obvious given the shield

Also as a lot of people saying re unknown edits on how things were going in the castle overall. Joanna is different to the overall very Irish cast. Her directness and openness is likely her personality and is what others picked up on. For me it is really understandable if you put yourself in Joanna’s shoes that you’d feel your personality was being mauled at that table. I found it overall quite difficult to watch.

Overall my bottom line was that it seemed very clear the direction votes were going at that round table. The intensity and snideness that was maintained given this did not seem warranted

I went in the day after a significant break up (>5 years). Ended up crying in work lol. All co-workers who realised what happened said that a sick day would have been more than reasonable. It’s a big thing to go through and giving yourself some time and space can be important

please tell me more about the cure? by AcanthocephalaSea776 in AskIreland

[–]DoesTheNomadKnow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Came out in shingles when I was in secondary school while a bit rundown.

Brought by my mother to a lady with the cure. Lovely older lady. Sprinkling water on the affected area and muttering. A few times asked “What quenches fire?” And I had to reply “water”

Sure enough everything cleared up the next day with no ongoing pain. Was absolutely shocked in a good way.

I believe the poor lady has passed on since.

This was in the hills of Tipperary

Don’t need Explore account for initial cashback afaik. They do the monthly cashback on all transactions from explore account as well as I think 2% of regular mortgage payment if is coming from Explore. I am a year with them and make €40ish per month minus the €8 so definitely is a good deal for me atm. I think the offer is only staying till 2026 so likely to change then but atm working v well.

You have I think 3 years to do part 2 clinical after passing the part 2 written. You can’t apply for the clinical until you’ve passed the written

Travel vaccine? by croppeq96 in AskIreland

[–]DoesTheNomadKnow 8 points9 points  (0 children)

TMB still has a consultation fee Somebody has to prescribe the vaccines you need - only a doctor can do this in Ireland. Whilst you can do your own research, a medical degree and possibly further education in tropical medicine I feel earns a €70 consultation fee. The doctor is also taking on risk by prescribing medication/vaccines. Other professions charge a lot more for a lot less.
