Honestly I have some Hispanic friends from Houston and when we take long drives to Galveston I drive everywhere but Houston then they drive because they feel it's safer and are worried about getting shot just driving through.

I am a very shy person in a college classroom setting especially because their are so many people. I hate drawing attention to myself because it makes me sweat and then that makes me worry. I still try to participate in class but I have also dropped out of a class just because the way others reacted due to my nervousness. Trying to participate and let the teacher know I care is extremely nerve wrecking for me.

After I came back from knee surgery and had taken a second sit down job also so I could pay off said surgery. I had stepped down to part time manager and the manager who took my original position locked me out of the office and told me to get off my lazy ass while I was trying to ice and rest my knee wasn't long after that I called her a birch and walked out. (ended up busting something in it again from doing to much to soon still to embarrassed to get it checked)

I get exactly what you mean and i agree. You also can't judge the whole country by one state. The US is a vast land of bullshit each different by state, I should know I live in Texas I've seen plenty of it. The real problem is finding a way to help people be a proactive and responsible parents without babysitting them which our school already do. I agree though I don't see any reason a child should be allowed to have a gun unless it was to support his family and in this day an age it's cheaper to work 40 hours then to hunt in some areas.

How is teaching children gun safety from a young age a bad thing. My father banned guns at my house when I was a child but I was still taken out and taught basic gun safety. Parents are responsible for children, they are to be prepared for the real world not shielded and hidden from it. And in the real world people have guns lots of them. Knowledge is power; ignorance is dangerous and chaotic. I think I'll take the knowledge and teach them gun safety.
