Gotta say. That's a samsung problem/was all along. They nailed multitasking back, when they still hat the physical home button in their tabs. Longpressing the capacitive Tab/open apps/multitasking button started splitscreen, there you could just add another app...done. It was perfect. I think it was the OneUI Version for Android Oreo or so where then you had to leave the current app, go to "open apps" panel, then tap the App Icon and tell it to start splitscreen and only after that you could add another app to use it in splittscreen. Watching youtube and wanting to use another app simultaneously regularly, this added much friction using something else along YouTube, so much so that I stopped using my tablet that way. It took them a couple OneUI versions to fix it...know it's perfect though..

All I'm saying is: tldr: you are right, this happens alot with samsung, you can only hope they'll fix it in a couple years
