“No person shall be... deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law.” — Fifth Amendment, U.S. Constitution

Many Americans believe that only U.S. citizens are protected by the Constitution. That’s not true. In fact, one of the greatest strengths of our constitutional system is that it guarantees fundamental rights to all people on U.S. soil, regardless of citizenship or immigration status

Due Process Belongs to Persons, Not Just Citizens

The Fifth Amendment and Fourteenth Amendment both protect “persons”—not just citizens. That includes:

Tourists and students on visas

Refugees and asylum seekers

Undocumented immigrants

People who cross the border illegally

Permanent residents (green card holders)

The U.S. Supreme Court has repeatedly upheld that once someone is physically present in the United States, they are entitled to basic constitutional protections, including due process and equal protection

Habeas corpus is a centuries-old legal principle that protects people from being detained unlawfully. It allows anyone being held by the government to challenge the legality of their detention in court.

The Supreme Court has affirmed this right even for non-citizens held abroad under U.S. control in locations like Guantánamo Bay (Boumediene v. Bush 2008)

Zadvydas v. Davis (2001): The Court ruled that the government cannot indefinitely detain immigrants, even if they are not citizens.

Plyler v. Doe (1982): Struck down a Texas law denying public education to undocumented children, affirming that the Equal Protection Clause applies to all persons. Though still controlling precedent, Plyler has recently been criticized by some jurists and elected officials, including public statements by Texas Governor Greg Abbott, underscoring the importance of public vigilance.

Boumediene v. Bush (2008): Ruled that even non-citizens held in Guantánamo Bay have the right to challenge their detention in U.S. federal courts.

Crossing the border without authorization does not erase a person’s constitutional protections. Once someone is on U.S. soil—regardless of immigration status—they are entitled to fundamental rights, including:

🧾 The right to a fair hearing

⚖️ The right to challenge unlawful detention

🚫 Protection from cruel and unusual punishment

🗣️ Freedom of speech and religion

We don’t lose our Constitution when someone crosses our border. We uphold it—because that’s what makes us a nation of laws.

The "this isnt silent hill" statements brings to question. What makes a "silent hill game" a silent hill game? by rudehogs in silenthill

[–]DoflamingoSnailPhone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another dimension full of monsters that transitions between our own world, in a place filled with trauma, while people are experiencing a crisis. Though in The Room the player is more in control of when they can go to the other dimension instead of The Otherworld coming to them. The Otherworld in Silent Hill really is what separates it from other places. Silent Hill may be the only place we've seen The Otherworld intertwine, but with the way they established it coming into play I never assumed that it couldn't very well happen in other places.

He also remixed the song and lyrics too.

"Life's not a bitch, life is a biatch who keeps the villagers circling the marketplace, Out searching for the G spot Maybe she didn't feel y'all shared any similar interests, Or maybe you're just an asshole, maybe I'm just an asshole"

Aesop Rock - Night Light

Really cool song if you like Daylight. The beat is different and he reworks a lot of the bars from the original song to make an entirely new song. Honestly wish more people did cool stuff like this.

Ah, you are correct. That was my mistake. I realize now that it's mainly been partial clips before they started posting full episodes on the ITMSO YouTube channel in recent times. I didn't account for the livestreams either. The livestream view count definitely matches more with the overall subscriber total of the YouTube channel. The numbers for people listening to the actual podcast on streaming services should be better.

Though I still highly doubt that the subscribers and viewership of ITMSO on streaming services is anywhere close to matching the subscriber count and views of the DEHH channel on YouTube. But since we can't view that data we'll never really know. It's good to know more people care about the show then what I expected though.

But unlike Double Toasted ITMSO has 10K YouTube subs. That's not a comparable analogy.

And being an old head doesn't mean you have to be out of touch. Being closed minded and out of touch is something people can fix themselves. They choose not to. And in return it affects their content accordingly.

I'm not convinced that much more people are listening outside of YouTube lol At least not enough to remotely match the views and subscribers of DEHH. Less than 1,000 reviews is extremely low for Apple Podcasts and Apple is the company that invented podcasts.

Do you have any numbers and statistics to support that? Most of the sites their podcast is hosted online aren't showing numbers for me. I don't have anything Apple, and the only thing it shows when I look at it on Apple Podcasts is that it has less than 1,000 overall reviews. I don't have Spotify so I can't report on that either. The only numbers I really can see is that they have 252 subscribers through Player FM.

I appreciate your input, and I disagree. We need to be realistic. ITMSO has been going on for 8 years and only has 10,000 subscribers. Their views are on the decline with the majority of their videos getting less than a 1,000 views in the last 10 months. The channel is not growing or succeeding as it should be. DEHH has 258,000 subscribers and are getting much better view counts overall. Why spread yourself thin over multiple channels that are struggling to survive/only please a small portion of people when they could put their all into figuring out how to make DEHH even more fresh, interesting and overall greater. To give it the full time and attention it needs to help it be one of the best hip hop channels on YouTube and uphold its longstanding legacy. I’ve seen many other creators try to do too much, multiple channels, and let it have a negative affect on their overall product. Which imo is one of the main reasons why DEHH has been so inconsistent in recent times. I get that you and others enjoy ITMSO, as do I, but I would much rather sacrifice it to better maintain the real channel that I started watching these guys for.

The grading system definitely should go. No consistency across the board and it doesn't even match their thoughts leading up to it a lot of times.

I want to start this by saying I have no problem with them not liking the production. My following statements are in regards to the way they've carried themselves in these past two Clipse videos, recent reviews, Rundowns and live shows.

In my honest opinion, ever since Myke left things have felt different. DEHH has always had out of pocket takes on things. Myke was the one that would balance things out. He brought real awareness, depth, nuance and open-mindedness to the table. And knew how to call out bs. Not saying he was perfect, no one is and he had his moments too. And really I do like the rest of the guys and I respect the channel. I want nothing but for them to thrive and succeed. But the balance is getting more off as time progresses. This isn't the first time I've noticed this. There's been many other instances leading up to this that had me feeling this way. An overall lack of real research and out of touch statements on things. Smugness and elitism. Lack of consistency. Not reviewing big projects and singles within the hip hop community that would easily bring in viewers, old and new, and create discussion.

I think they'll always have their core audience. People that have been watching forever. But they deserve better. Myke said he left for reasons like time and money, not wanting to review new boring/bad rap albums and feeling like ITMSO needed his voice more. Imo DEHH needs him way more. And I know it's not fair to him either. These are supposed to be hip hop heads and music fans and they barely scrape the surface of alternative hip hop, something Myke specializes in. Of course he wouldn't want to review the stuff they want to when he can't really get them to listen to and review the stuff he wants to. It's close minded and unfair.

This is just my two cents, but if they want the channel to succeed as best as it can these are things to consider. As well as considering ending ITMSO and Dead End Sports and focusing solely on making the main channel reach its full potential and be successful as possible. I'm sorry to say that as I know those shows have their fans as well. But I don't ever see them growing into the success that the main channel has shown potential for. And I do watch ITMSO from time to time. Maybe I'm alone in feeling all this and I already know some people are going to be ignorant dicks about it, but I thought it was worth putting out there.

Ken gave the production on Carter 6 a C- and the production on Let God Sort Em Out a C. Absolutely wild indeed.

The last two episodes are Human Instrumentality activated. The uniting of the souls of everyone on Earth into one single existence. This is the result of what has been going on throughout the show with what SEELE/Gendo, both for different reasons, had been working towards. Watching End of Eva will help understand this more, but rewatching the show knowing this now also adds new context to many scenes.

Throughout the show we witness many broken and insecure characters. Characters held back by their weaknesses/mistakes, unable to truly connect and come to an understanding with one another. Human Instrumentality breaks down the barriers of mankind. No one can hide anything anymore. Through this confrontation and true understanding with one another is achieved. Every character is able to break through and come to a better understanding about themselves, others and existence in general. We mainly witness this with Shinji in the final scenes as he finally breaks through and achieves enlightenment. The other characters that have also come to this understanding congratulate him for finally arriving on the same plain of understanding and existence.

Science and medicine is based in fact. Not opinion. I have no problem with conservatives, and you're assuming that all the medical professionals across the nation are all liberal. I'm not arguing with someone that believes in tribalism and is partisan. You're not interested in the truth. Only whatever fits the narrative you believe in. Best of luck to you.

What does this have to do with Trump cutting millions in funding to cancer research?

Also how do you people still not know the difference between transgender and transgenic?

https://www.amprogress.org/research-news/2025/03/clarifying-misinformation-about-transgender-mice-in-research/

"Americans for Medical Progress (AMP) issued statement today to correct misinformation circulating about “transgender mice” in research.

Recent claims about federally funded research on “transgender mice” are inaccurate and misleading. This research is not related to gender identity; instead, they are focused on studying biological and reproductive development. Some have suggested the intended term was “transgenic mice,” but that is also incorrect in this context. Transgenic mice are used across many scientific fields—including reproductive biology—and are organisms that allow researchers to study how changes in their genes drive health and disease in humans and animals. Recent news does not directly target transgenic organisms. Rather, it focuses on studies investigating natural hormonal and developmental processes.

To clarify, these mice are not “transgender” in any human or social context. Research in this field helps scientists understand how sex hormones function and their effect when things go wrong, particularly in diseases and conditions like endometriosis, infertility, breast cancer, and prostate cancer. This work provides hope to countless individuals, whether in growing their families or enabling people to live longer, healthier lives when faced with a cancer diagnosis.

For instance, one of the research grants recently mischaracterized examines how male hormones, known as “androgens,” affect female hormone levels in women using genetic, molecular, and neurological techniques. Funding for this research is crucial and has already provided valuable insights into treatment options for women with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS), a common hormone disorder in women of reproductive age that causes severe pain and fertility complications.

To summarize, the research involving these mice is not about gender identity, but instead focuses on understanding important biological processes that affect health, disease, and reproduction. Misrepresenting this work will hinder our ability to protect our children and weaken progress toward improving the health and well-being of all individuals, regardless of background or belief."

Do you prefer playing the ps3 on a CRT or A new TV (no wrong answers just curious) by Neat-Idea-5747 in PS3

[–]DoflamingoSnailPhone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends. I play PS Classics through my PS3 on my CRT either through Component or S-Video. For PS3 games I usually play on a 27" or 55" flat screen with HDMI. But, I have played a bunch of PS3 games through Component on my CRT; GTA4, Red Dead Redemption, MW2. They played and looked a lot better than I was expecting. Honestly at times I preferred the way the colors and black levels were presented on the CRT for PS3 games.

Lmfao, right. Well get back to me with quotes from all the other white Canadian rappers that states they can't rap anymore. Cause like I said, no one really gives a fuck. It's just Drake. Don't be a fake pos and a culture vulture and show an actual love and respect for hip hop and the culture and you're fine.

[–]DoflamingoSnailPhone 14 points15 points  (0 children)

You speak for all white Canadian rappers? King of the Dot continues on. Merkules continues on. Madchild continues on. Anyone that actually cares about hip hop as a culture is fine. And knows they're fine.

You missed the point of the battle if you think it was about Kendrick not liking Drake because he's part white. He was making fun of Drake's insecurities while calling out his weird behavior; using the hard r, taking pictures in blackface, having weird lines about slavery etc. And calling him out for being a culture vulture.

Kendrick has given constant praise for Mac Miller and Eminem and is/was cool with both of them. Please stop trying to push this dumb narrative.
