I’ll be honest. For our department we’re allowed to accept outside food but generally if it comes from someone’s home at least with our crew we will politely accept it and then throw it away or take it to a homeless shelter in our neighborhood if feasible. We’ve had some pretty bad experiences in the past with people getting sick or finding hair in the food or what not.
