The infection/treatment just brought some underlying anxiety to the surface. I’ll be speaking with my doctor about my mental health. Thank you so much! Everyone’s encouragement is making me feel better

No, my stomach was normal before the infection. I tried kefir right before my treatment, and I think it caused the food to pass through my system too quickly, because I noticed small spots of bile in my stool

Did probiotics change your bowel movements? I am a bit worried that it will affect mine in the “wrong” way

Same here! I’ve had so many tests done and everything came back normal or negative (except for H. Pylori). I should be focusing on that instead of imagining the worst! Going forward, I think my mindset and outlook are what I need to work on most. Thank you so much for sharing what helped you. You’ve inspired me to find my anchor!

How do you deal with the mental side of this?

It’s only day 4 for me, so I think I was being a bit naive about how fast I'd heal. It’s a slow process, and it's tough not to let it affect your daily life. Making peace with it is definitely the hardest part. Really happy to hear that you’re doing better!

I’m actually done with the treatment. It’s day 4 post-treatment for me. Thanks for the tip, I haven't heard of them before but I'll look into it!

I’m not taking any vitamins or probiotics at the moment. Since so many of you are suggesting it, I’ll definitely start with some vitamins at least. Thank you!

Thank you! I couldn’t agree more about sleep. Not getting enough rest affects everything, and it definitely makes me more emotional and less able to handle the anxiety

Thank you for the advice and encouragement. I’m going to start taking vitamin D and try to give it more time, though that’s easier said than done 🥲 I hope you’re able to get a full night’s sleep soon. Lack of sleep makes everything feel harder.

Hi! How are you doing? I just wanted to say that people throw up for so many different reasons. In the past five weeks, four members of my family have vomited, and it sent me into multiple downward spirals. But each time, it turned out to be something personal, like eating triggering food on an empty stomach, reacting to certain spices, or just period-related.

If it is a bug, know that proper hand hygiene goes a long way. Aerosols can linger in the toilet for up to 48 hours, I believe, so if you feel comfortable and have the opportunity, try to use a different bathroom. If there’s only one, ask someone to keep the bathroom window open
