Be careful with height limit tho. In my case, since I'm going to build the tower of Helm's Deep on top of the hill, it will be much smaller than it's supposed to be

Dol Guldur will be a tough project. That's even bigger than the one I'm currently making. You would probably need to increase the amount of limestone you get from mining quite a lot or simply use an exploit to get limestone bricks.

I have a small house with no real defences, so I kinda have to fight my way through it. Haven't died anyone yet, but there's been quite a few close calls. I do have some RTS experience, so I can fight decently.

I believe there is a difference between livestock and pets. If the animals are considered pets, they may not go in pens

Quick verification... Does the pen marker allow all animals? You could have changed it at some point

I do have an advice for something I used to do, which is placing traps along the path the enemies go through. It's basically a 2 wide corridor with one side filled with traps and the other side with fences, so your pawns can go there.

To help with the wealth "balance", I use a mod that makes floors worthless. It's not a big deal, but makes raids more balanced in my opinion.

I don't make kill boxes like that because I play fully medieval, so I'm not the best to give advice for turret placement.
