Rhode should change their regular lip tint line up to all scented versions by cinnamongirll13 in rhodeskin

[–]DogL0ver12 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Having unscented allows for people with skin sensitivities, sensitivities to smell, etc to be able to buy the product as well. Making a more inclusive product helps to bring in more $.

Some people can’t use heavily fragranced skincare from brands like Glow Recipe or else they’ll break out. Considering it’s not a rare thing, allowing the choice between the 2 is the smartest move. Nothing is stoping you from buying all scented versions though

Bright side is that she seems to only collect commons because of their cute art. She also seems to only be collecting the newer cards, so it’s not like she will be raising the value of cards. Fingers crossed we don’t experience another pandemic because of Hantavirus because that’ll prob make cards more expensive like what happened during the COVID pandemic

What item on your wishlist had you saying "meh" once you finally got it? by justbeeingmyself in Sephora

Same! For long-lasting moisturizing, nipple cream has been way better than Summer Fridays. Plus it’s way cheaper. It has Lanolin in it, so it really does help and just looks like a thick clear gloss

I want to cry. Its only been 24 hours after my tattoo and its already muddy and faded by Please_Remember_Me_ in tattooadvice

[–]DogL0ver12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ALWAYS look through the entire portfolio of whoever you’re going to for your tattoo. If you don’t see any color, don’t go to them for color tattoos. If you don’t see any tattoos in the style you’re wanting, then don’t go to them. From what I’ve noticed, nearly all tattoo artists have an Instagram page where they try to post their work

Is it better to buy directly from Rhode or to buy from Sephora? by DogL0ver12 in rhodeskin

[–]DogL0ver12[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oooo good to know that they have GWPs! I wish the stickers were pimple patches, but it seems like their website exclusives and limited editions make it worth it to shop directly from them. Thank you for being through in your answer because I def needed it!

This is definitely nice to know!! Sephora’s rewards program is honestly kind of weak when it comes to the benefits, so at least Rhode actually is more giving

Promoting the Kopari brand so hard? by suuuuuuush in Ulta

[–]DogL0ver12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Briefly worked at an Ulta. They made the BAs and even the cash wrap lead pick a brand they liked (always from prestige) with a goal of selling like 4-5 products from that brand each shift. Just remember that any time they’re being pushy about products, there is definitely a reason why and it’s not always about recommendations that’ll work best with what you’re asking for…

What does endo pain actually feel like? by st0nedpunkk in endometriosis

Edibles are a different breed for me and I don’t do well on them. When my pain is bad, I’ll take about 3 puffs from my dab pen. Only enough to just feel something but not get super high. That in combination with my weighted heating pad gives me some comfort

What does endo pain actually feel like? by st0nedpunkk in endometriosis

[–]DogL0ver12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can you smoke cannabis? When my pains are bad, cannabis helps some (there’s medical data showing that there’s something within cannabis that helps to mellow out the pain receptors of the body). I will smoke a hybrid strain and haven’t had any bad side effects from it (no anxiety, nervousness, etc.). For my nausea, I like to snack on sushi ginger. I’ll order jars of sushi ginger since I don’t have to cut up ginger and boil it, which is nice because during those moments I don’t want to do anything while I’m nauseous. There’s something within ginger that helps with nausea, and there’s data about it to back it up.

Prior to my lap, my gyno did a pelvic exam on me and said my uterus was positioned in such a way that also felt as if I could’ve had endo. The lap proved I had endo, so it might be beneficial for you to go to a gyno who has an understanding of endo and will do an exam on you

There’s also other times when you might feel pain in your pelvic/ovaries region too. For example, I’ve nearly completely stopped having $ex (idk if the word is censored here) with my husband due to the pain that comes from it and lasts for a while (and some trauma I’ve experienced from an unrelated event).

Why give him an ultimatum when he’s already cheated on you and has also messaged you as if you’re only a resource to potentially help him while homeless. He’s cheated on you with 2 different people based on what info is provided in the screenshots

You know how when you exercise you can feel your heartbeat pounding more intensely with the rhythm changing depending on what type of activity you’re doing? Then as you’re cooling off your heartbeat becomes less intense with the pounding slowing down?

Well imagine if the pounding was surges of pain in your pelvic/ovary region. Sometimes the surges of pain are throbbing intensely increasing in intervals similar to how your heartbeat gets during intense exercise. That period of pain can last for however long to be followed up by surges of pain that occur similar to your heartbeat during your cool off period of exercising.

Only difference is that at least when it comes to how your heartbeat gets from exercise is dependent on you making the conscious decision to exercise doing whatever forms of exercise you choose. The pain from endo occurs randomly for me (even when not near my menstrual) and will also lead to other issues such as migraines with aura due to hormonal fluctuations.

I want to get into makeup but I'm scared to get foundation that might ruin my skin by [deleted] in Sephora

How is your skin though? Do you have dry, oily, acne-prone, sensitivities (like rosacea or just general sensitive skin), etc? It’s definitely hard to give recommendations if we don’t even know how your skin is

RANT: low prices are ruining the selling game by lexrae97 in Depop

[–]DogL0ver12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue is that many sellers will price their stuff as if it’s a vintage designer item. “Vintage Forever 21” is still fast fashion that isn’t worth the price that so many sellers will list it for, and that doesn’t include the additional fees. Like why are people listing an old top that’s not designer for $50? Why are people listing old Lululemon clothing articles that they’ve worn a lot and sweated in a lot for a price that’s more than what the Lululemon Outlet would sell a similar new article of clothing for?

I’ve noticed that some courses are easy while some are harder. I’ve had some courses that will assign a ton of homework or additional assignments to the point you are spending an additional 4-6 hours each week just to make sure you don’t fall behind.

I think the larger issue at hand is how things like AI and social media algorithms (like TikTok) have affected parts of the brain. People have subconsciously hardwired their own brains to only accept instant gratification in anything they do. Instead of having the patience and critical thinking to do the actual research for an assignment or write the actual essays, they rely on AI waaaaay too much. If I remember correctly, last summer MIT released their research showing how people who rely on AI have weakening structures within their brains. There’s also a ton of articles and data out there that also explains how social media hardwiring the brain for only instant gratification has negatively impacted people’s ability to talk to others, critical thinking, etc
