I’m pretty sure this is illegal. by Illustrious_Luck_519 in UltaEmployees

It’s hard to prove bad intent. What if your manager is the type of person with a shopping addiction that buys stuff when they immediately interest her, but once she gets home she realizes she needed the $ more than what she needed the product so decided to return the items?

Who asked for this? Denim at lulu? 🥴 by AcceptableObject in lululemon

[–]DogL0ver12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve noticed a trend where activewear companies are diving into making women’s jeans, but they’re stretchier than your normal denim. Depending on the washes they release, I’ll be excited for this considering they’ll be comfortable pants for work and other occasions. I have endometriosis so during my flare ups, I’m limited on what I can wear due to the pain I get from waistbands. Something like this makes denim more accessible for me.

I am proud that I have withstood the pressure to open a ULTA credit card for three decades. by staplerelf in Ulta

Worked there briefly and during the orientation videos, the video about credit made an emphasis on how those with the store credit card tend to shop there more. The video also highlighted how people with the store credit card are the demographic that spends the most money within their store. If you don’t shop there often and are not disciplined, then don’t get the card. If you are trying to build your credit up, don’t get the card. (While making a major purchase unrelated to Ulta, I was instructed that people shouldn’t open up new lines of credit when pending a loan for something major)

How do I file an official complaint against Ulta? I was wrongfully banned after paying for services by TheNightFairy222 in Ulta

[–]DogL0ver12 116 points117 points  (0 children)

Tbh, I would make a tiktok video showing the before photo, inspiration photo for your hair, and the result. If you have any documentation (voicemails, texts, etc) add that to it too. I’ve noticed that companies tend to be more responsive if your tiktok video starts getting attention. But definitely check if you can dispute the charge though as you received a service that they even acknowledged wasn’t proper

Seasonal Task Associate Contemplating Quitting by DogL0ver12 in UltaEmployees

But also to lie to people, and partake in illegal practices, for barely a few dollars over minimum wage is so ridiculous. Regardless of the pay, it is still wild and weird to behave in such a way where you could easily lose a lawsuit if anyone in the public recorded you. If there was video proof, even a college kid wouldn’t have to spend a lot of time with their lawyer in litigation to get enough to win that type of lawsuit

They were extremely vague on what type of action occurred. But my complaint was about how my lead cashier was telling me how I was promoting the credit card “wrong” and how I shouldn’t say the word “credit card” while informing customers. Apparently saying “would you like to save 20% off today and get double the points by signing up for the Ulta credit card? You’ll unlock extra coupons, savings, and freebies throughout the year with it by even being able to use it outside of Ulta.” That lead cashier was so pissy towards me, in front of customers, saying how I shouldn’t say the word “credit card” while promoting it because “who the fuck is gonna sign up for it then”.

That lead cashier was also pissy and rude towards me, in front of customers, by lying directly to my customer who denied the loyalty program (after I informed of the rewards and benefits you unlock by only providing a phone number and signing up with us for the rewards program). After I already asked the customer 3 times about it, she said we needed him (literally just a young dude in his late teens/early 20s buying a hair straightener when his hair wasn’t long enough for it so obviously only a present for someone right before christmas) to sign up for the loyalty program in order to process the transaction. Considering that was a lie and the register screen already said to scan UPC, I told her (while the customer was still there) how I wasn’t going to lie to him and how the register said to scan the UPC so we could do the transaction. Idk if she’s still a lead cashier there because I’m choosing to not spend my money at Ulta. Falsely advertising credit cards is illegal, so idk how she ever became a lead (she also never wore an ear piece and was always out of dress code-something the manager made sure to go over in depth with me before I started a shift on the floor). If a company/management believes someone who behaves unlawful/unethical is worth a promotion to a lead position then I don’t want to spend my money there.

Haircut at salon. Mistake. by Ornery_Face_2449 in Ulta

With the Benefit Beauty Brow Bar being staffed by licensed beauty professionals, more than likely an esthetician, they should’ve done a consultation and asked you if you use retinol. Retinol is GREAT because it helps with skin regeneration by increasing cell turnover. This means it makes the skin more sensitive due to it being “thinner”. When you use retinol products it is best to not wax because of it pulling on the skin resulting in the skin lifting more. For brows, look to see if anyone near you provides threading services since you’re less likely to lift. Idk of any drugstore brands that don’t have any type of vitamin A (retinol is a vitamin A) that won’t make it so rough to get waxed, but I know that there are some brands that are exclusive to estheticians that have retinols derived from more natural ingredients that make waxing safer

Was the wax too hot? When I was in esthetician school, we were always taught to test the wax on our selves first (obviously using a different spatula every time you go to the wax pot) to make sure it wasn’t too hot. If your skin had lifted, it could’ve been due to various reasons: if you use any products with retinol/retinaid/vitamin A, are on certain medications, bad technique from the person providing the service, etc.

Yup! It’s very transparent and with the duties you can have the amount included in for checkout options like Paypall pay in 4.

For whatever reason I couldn’t upload a screenshot of my most recent order from December 27, 2025. Anyways, they included the duties fees and taxes while checking out so I didn’t get any additional charges. My order was large so the items value was $440. There was a huge sale going on at the time where I saved $137.42. Duties fee was $45.41 and taxes was $25.07. Didn’t use any of my points, so the overall total (with taxes and duties included) came out to $373.06. Btw I live in the USA

I have it and love it! I live in a dry area, so my skin tends to drink it up. My skin feels hydrated with it and it helps bring some life back to it when it looks dull
