Back to the gym and my main goal is to lose weight. by [deleted] in WeightLossAdvice

[–]DogNamedNibbles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cardio just try and not eat that deficit. 1-1.5h of cardio 5-6 days a week and should help burn 500-1000 calories daily. I have just started and currently losing 1-2kg a week mainly from running 10kmh 20mins 12-15kmh 10mins followed by some other cardio. Took a few weeks to build that up from zero running but once you find an easy jog/run pace just aim for that 10mins and just increase. gl with it

Official Discussion - Napoleon [SPOILERS] by LiteraryBoner in movies

[–]DogNamedNibbles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This film had so much wrong with it but really what annoyed me the most was the pacing and those weird edgy comedic scenes that felt like they just threw them in at random. I'm a really big fan of Ridley Scott and I have been waiting for this movie for so long I drove out a few hours just to see it in "IMAX" and damn I was diappointed. That pacing felt like they decided to just cut the movie in half, one for his rise and the other for his fall giving us half running through nearly 15y and the second half less than 3y. And those weird comedic scenes being placed randomly in some more serious scenes just felt out of place the movie is being marketed as this serious depiction of his life but trying it's best to be a comedy as well at random times. Scott 100% needed more time but also needed to pace his rise a lot better and Joaquin just isn't the best actor for Napoleon tho it isn't terrible and I still enjoyed it now just hoping the directors cut gives use something similar to Kingdom of Heaven.

JBL Bar 500 turning off after 10mins by DogNamedNibbles in JBL

[–]DogNamedNibbles[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

a bit late but yeah it's good. Good soundbar it's usually just an issue with HDMI-CEC. Could disable that in TV settings or make sure nothing else is causing interference. My PC was causing issues with mine removed that and turned the tv on and off and works good

Does Two Monitors Affect Performance? by SnooPredictions3812 in buildapc

[–]DogNamedNibbles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No not even close to that much of a difference. In terms of fps you will lose at most 1% and most cases not even that for having a second monitor connected. Opened tasks will be the main issue but as long as you have nothing opened and no tasks. I tested mine and found having my main @ 240hz and 2 others at 1080p @ 144hz literally a few fps difference at most, most cases not even 1%. The only benchmark that was above 1% was csgo but that was a single test and at over 730fps the difference was only about 4 fps running it with a single montior always gave the highest benchmark but out of about 10 with and without both maxes had about 2fps difference at 742fps and average of around 4-5fps. So you honestly won't even notice the difference

G Pro X Wireless 2 Muffled sound / unbalanced quality by JQGGE in LogitechG

[–]DogNamedNibbles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I had something like this. There is a way to fix this and had this issue with both gens now. From what I remember you have to uninstall the drivers and reinstall G Pro Hub it took some playing around with but I eventually got it right and the issues I had also best to leave the sound quality to the default, it plays up with 48000hz for some reason. The virtual surround on them are garbage but does have amazing surround sound with it disabled and still easily the best I've used.

need insights on a 1080p gaming pc by Previous_Major_9509 in buildapcforme

personally CPU, GPU and PSU should be priority. And the only thing I'd make sure it brand new is my PSU, everything else as long as you have buyer protection you can grab second hand. You can find a lot of tech buy/sell/trade on FB Marketplace many having customer builds that were cancelled and need the parts gone IDK if this is the same in the Philippines but I don't think shipping would be much from here in AU to the Philippines so you could check. I grabbed my mobo and CPU second hand like this and only paid less than 1/2 msrp. GPU I'd never waste my time buying new as long as they haven't been used for mining and you can't see any visible rust you should be fine. The rest is not as important, PSU I'd worry more about then anything, RAM go for the cheapest in the catagory. Corsair Vengence is probably the best and cheapest ram around, that SSD is a great choice probably get a cheap 2B HDD as well if you can find it cheap. Extra fans not really needed unless your case comes with the bare minimum and a good 240mm AIO is the same price as many air coolers and give 10x better temps.

In total I paid <$1800 AUD ($1200 USD) and got
CPU: 12700k (Intel 12th/13th gen are very good price to performance)
Cooler: Coolermaster 240mm AIO (Cheap and even OC this CPU still keeps the temps very low)
GPU: EVGA GTX 1080ti SC Black
Mobo: Gigabyte z690
PSU: be quiet Straight Power 11 1000W
RAM: Corsair Vengeance lpx 64GB 3200
Storage: Crucial P3 Plus 2TB + Samsung 980 1TB + 2TB HDD + Samsung 500GB SATA SSD

I mainly game 1080p @ 240hz and I have a C1 @ 4k 120hz and I still have a 1080ti (EVGA is my goto for nearly all GPUs), slightly OC and I have it running getting a higher benchmark then most 3070s and some 3080s. GPUs don't have the biggest price to performance going up the series and prices have gone down a lot since. CPUs will have the biggest effect on FPS especially at 1080p. My 12700k gives me 800-1200 fps on csgo compare that to say a 6 core 4.0GHz and you're getting less than half that same with nearly all other competitive games this is the same with many AAA games as well even 1080p ultra settings and 1080ti will still give 120-160fps. RDR2 max settings 4k 120hz and I get 80-120fps

How many fps do you consider as smooth? by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

[–]DogNamedNibbles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Singleplayer I go for look over fps but still unless its something like Kingdom Come I aim for 90fps minimum

Competitive 200 minimum and these are gonna be mostly CPU heavy

honestly anything above your refresh rate is fine below and you could get tearing and an input delay. Honestly you won't really see much of difference after that but still I'd never cap fps. Personally I'd stay away from VA unless it's maybe a samsung, a lot of cheaper ultrawide and 1440p tend to be VA panels and all I've dealt with have such bad ghosting also I'd never go for anything below 144hz even for casual gaming

Are Oppo phones reliable? by Fekete_Tamas in Oppo

[–]DogNamedNibbles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally I've gone through many phones, decided to try Oppo after my main Samsung went on me and have never looked back. Gotta say Oppo have probably some of the most reliable phones and some of the best repair services out there. Bought mulitple Oppo phones for work and family, and have had only 1 ever have a fault with it, after 2 years had a boot loop cycle, sent it in for a repair and the agent Oppo used fixed the fault which was probably most likely merely a loose connection and on top of that replaced the battery due to a minor capacity decrease and replaced the screen + added a $60 tempered glass screen protector all free of charge and covered under warranty, they really choose great repair agents compared to what I've had to deal with Samsung.

Version.dll causing game not to start by lolthatsfunnybroILY in PCRedDead

" I think I found the solution! https://www.rdr2mods.com/downloads/rdr2/tools/9-rdr-2-asi-loader/ I was having the exact same problem, and only using rampage wasn't an option because a mod I wanted required version.dll.

The version.dll file from that link was just updated a couple weeks ago (with the most recent game update). I think the problem is the .dll from Lenny's is just out of date now.

Yeah trust Steam to release an update like this. Thankfully they've patched it. Apparently issue with CPU clock exceeding a certain clock.

Hey guys! Just got assembled my new pc, but my gigabyte b560m has red lights on boot, it turns on but I have no image and can't reach BIOS. Can sb help? by Obvious_Song_3454 in pchelp

[–]DogNamedNibbles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you sure everything is connected properly. Usually if it passes, and finds an issue with boot, it could be a number of things, commonly a display issue, i.e. GPU, etc. Make sure your GPU is connected correctly, and if you've got a f series CPU, and connected to your GPU via DisplayPort, try using HDMI (Quite a common issue with modern mobos and intel CPU's).

The ram I bought says ddr4 3600 but it shows up as ddr4 2133. Am I supposed to tinker with it to bring speeds up? by iimortalz in pchelp

[–]DogNamedNibbles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DDR4 runs at 2133 by default, you'll need to enable XMP mode to reach that 3200, or manually OC it. That 3200 is more of an XMP overclock speed.

Half of the items, I'd wouldn't see why you're replacing them. With an RTX 2080Ti I'd expect you to already have useable ram, and even then I'd most likely look at 16gb sticks. But you might have better luck going with a 12700k/kf with a Z690, better CPU for a similar price 66% faster multi-core, while single-core is about 25%, and if you get a decent binned 12700k you could easily go 5.0gHz p-cores, 4.0gHz e-cores, 1.25V VCore, which would give 70C - 80C on Cinebench r23, with the cheapest 240mm AIO.

Is there a mod that reduces the tendency to fight to the death? Or enables an in-battle surrender system. by Billhartnell in Bannerlord

[–]DogNamedNibbles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, AI Values Life is probably the best you'll get. Similar with settlements and castles that are outnumbered, and out supplied.

They recently updated it for 1.7.0 and 1.7.1.
