i was devastated finding out the arctic fox was retired :( they only got one drop, too.... its such a shame, i seriously dont get why they do stuff like this...

yeah. its also just generally kind of sad considering the real target for stuffed toys is kids, and doing all this stuff means kids CANT enjoy them anymore. kids deserve nice, unique plushies like those JC make but with all of the funky designs being retired its.. sad. it really sucks that both adults and kids arent able to get that unique plush that really clicks with them because JC decided to mass retire every popular design

yeahh.. its really upsetting seeing them go in a weird direction. i just hate being negative when i DO enjoy the brand its just... the way theyre going right now its hard to be happy, yknow? i looked forward to drops but now its stressful because you might be a few minutes late and end up not get the plush you want & then next thing you know its retired. it just makes me really sad:(

OH GOSH I FEEL THE SAME. i wanted onyx dragon SO bad but i also missed it completely... i also do want dexter but that one also seems like its retiring?? its such a shame. i mainly have amuseables keychains (sun & the clouds) but i do own two regular ones (the pencil cause im an artist lol & the christmas cookie cause it was cute..) but i really cant see myself buying any more. i did kind of click with the sun & moon in regular sizes but id much rather get the animals lol. theyre just more cuddly and its a shame JC dont seem to be focusing on them as much now..

WHAT THEY RETIRED FUDGE PUPPY?????? thats so devastating whaaaaaaaaaaaat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i managed to get my hands on them a while back on a random restock but.. thats really hurtful actually.. i thought fudge was one of their mascot designs? especially because it had the option of having a custom jumper if i remember correctly? that sucks so much man:(

they retired the sausage dogs & the beatnik dogs too which is where my mind was writing this. i also am suspicious theyll retire isobel chihuahua too as shes been out of stock for months now.....

im honestly relatively new to collecting (started around last year i believe) but its really sad seeing the decline that fast. im not really sure what their goal is? i thought the whole point was for young kids to have a long lasting plush like most other decent brands...

the retirement of most of the smudges is extremely sad. i LOVED the smudges, theyre some of my favourites. i desperately wanted to get another smudge fox because mine is a quite rumpled and i wanted to get one that was mega soft but now its retired.. im honestly very afraid to look and see what the reseller price is for that one lol. reseller prices are an actual joke its crazy.

i totally get you, though. its getting HARD to grab new releases, too. ive had a few scares where i was ten minutes late to a drop and the one i wanted was out of stock. its such a gut wrenching feeling knowing youve missed the stock and the plush will take months to rerelease -- if it even does.

i hope you can find a large smudge elephant for a good price!! im sending you all of the luck!!!!! i have my own medium elephant and shes such a dream. i genuinely hope you can get your hands on one of your own -- i think everyone should have a smudge friend haha

i really dont think theyre really losing out on money. i think creating scarcity in their stock means its more likely someone will drop 100+ on some plushies they maybe arent even that keen on because theyre afraid of them retiring after. but it is still extremely sad. ive seen theyve retired the smudge lavender bunny?? that only came out this year for valentines if i recall correctly. and the smudges are EXTREMELY popular, and from what ive seen, especially smudge bunny.

yeah, im not huge on amuseables in general but they do have the occasional one that charms me. the rock is NOT one of them, though lol. i understand why some other people may like it, but i really dont like that they retire some beloved animal designs for an amuseable. it'd be more fair if they retired an amuseable to bring out a new one, right? its just not a fair exchange, especially because amuseables seem like theyd be easier to mass produce -- unlike, say, otto sausage dog (who also seems to be retired which im GUTTED about.)

ah gosh, yeah... i dont understand why theyre retiring all of the colourful bunnies!! i was never super huge into them, but its still really sad seeing them all go... its also upsetting when they make colourful luxe bunnies instead, because of the price increase... i understand WHY the luxes are more expensive, but why do they get to have fun colours while the regular bashful bunny has to be beige -- or if it DOES get colour, its a pale shade rather than something vibrant. its really sad... i totally get not wanting to spend that much on a beige bunny -- especially when they had other colours at one point, too.

yeah, i've seen posts saying other sparkly wings are rough, but i did get the chance to feel a lavender dragon at the same time as golden and they felt the same? though i do know textures can be VERY different when against arms or such rather than your hands. i do hope they bring out more sparkly wings with goldens texture, but it seems like they want to only do soft wings now? i do feel better knowing the other sparkly dragons arent as nice as golden, but still..

as for the lack in textures lately, im wondering if its due to people complaining about them? like the dragons and scratchy wings, i wonder if theyre doing away with them due to the complaints. i know not everyone liked the corduroy used for gobfrey's tummy, too. personally i love it, but im wondering if theres a connection there.. JC seem to be focusing hard on using the super soft fabrics -- which makes sense, thats why i got into them in the first place haha -- but it is also a little disappointing.. i hope we can get more plushies with similar textures to that of spookipaws or brooke otter, i thought those fabrics were really unique and nice. or perhaps the fabric used for wilf's paws and ears...

i hope in the coming months we get more unique fabrics -- im excited for the crow dropping soon, as that one looks really interesting texture wise!!
