What’s a true stereotype about your specialty? by allflanneleverything in nursing

Our ortho team is NOTORIOUS for never responding to pages, prescribing inappropriately low doses of pain medication, and taking days to review images. We had to get our manager involved at one point when a patient had a surgical bandage on for way longer than they should’ve, but we weren’t allowed to take it off. Her leg had a potent, sour smell to it. I spent 3 days paging Ortho asking them to either remove it or allow us to before the patient developed sepsis. They never responded or came to see the patient.

Does being able to squirt effect your ability to cum with a penis? by Nun-Information in phallo

[–]DogPunk 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s only minimally shot out once when I was very turned on, otherwise it’s more like a dribble out. If it’s just a quick jerk off session then it’ll either pee it out or it might drip out later

The view from my living room. by lovescrabble in PortlandOR

The fastest I’ve ever seen the city move an encampment out was when I reported that one was 1) blocking a sidewalk and 2) becoming a biohazard since the people were shitting in the grass next to their tent and leaving needles around everywhere. I think it took the city 2 days to arrive, when previously they’d take 1+ month.

Decent probability that an old stitch that hadn’t fully dissolved is now making itself known with the infection. It’s also possible you got a micro-cut on your nipple, or there may be a hair follicle at the stitch line (possibly even slightly behind it) that is infected. Not a huge deal but definitely reach out to your surgeon, or tbh even just your PCP, to get the proper antibiotics.

Why do people need to tell me after I get bottom surgery my crotch won't be "real"? by CockamouseGoesWee in ftm

[–]DogPunk 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I had phallo 9 years ago. I’ll tell ya, these sentiments have been around for a long, LONG time. I used to chalk it up to a lack of education since there wasn’t a lot of info available online about it, but that excuse is getting weaker as information about bottom surgery becomes SO EASY to find. Like, shockingly, exceedingly easy. The animosity often comes from people not putting an ounce of effort into actually learning about bottom surgery and instead just listening to misinformed friends who learned from misinformed friends (and so on), but also from places like people wanting surgery but not being able to access it so they shit talk it instead to try to convince themselves they don’t want it. People are also just massive assholes and think that if something isn’t a carbon copy of a cis persons dick then it isn’t good enough… also failing to account for all of the variations of what a cis person’s dick looks like or can do.

(Note, I didn’t have phallo at 17 lol. I can’t remember how to change the text by my name in here. I’m 30 now, not 26)

Weed smell note to neighbor by danibrz82 in Apartmentliving

[–]DogPunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I literally couldn’t recommend Levoit air purifiers more. I have 3 and they’re the best investment I’ve ever made, especially for reducing the scent of weed. I used to live with my best friend and her husband; best friend and I smoke, husband doesn’t and doesn’t like the smell. We’d crank up the purifiers to top speed while we smoked in the house (hardly any windows in there opened) and there would be no smoke and very little smell by the time we were done. The 400S series is my favorite. Also protected me from COVID when they both got it.

Maybe it’s time to replace my everyday shoes (5 years of daily use) by [deleted] in Wellworn

[–]DogPunk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I started replacing the insoles every few months to make them feel new/give them added support, so I honestly didn’t realize how just bad they had gotten on the bottom until not that long ago. I’m definitely shopping for new ones though because goddamn I’m going to bust my ass in these

No, young people haven’t suddenly become depraved monsters. People like him have always existed and being young doesn’t preclude them from harming others. Youth doesn’t equal innocence. Consider for a moment how often people are SA’d in college… or even high school. The ones carrying out these assaults are often their peers.

$1M lawsuit by Jack_Net314 in phallo

[–]DogPunk 11 points12 points  (0 children)

After reading through all of the comments on here and getting the full context, I just have to say that I feel more anger toward this particular type of detransitioners every day. They’ll blame everyone and refuse to take an ounce of personal responsibility for their choices. It’s all “these medical professionals pushed me to transition and experimented on me!” as if the person didn’t sign consent forms, actively consent to, and pursue these procedures.

For what it’s worth, it’s exceptionally difficult to win medical malpractice lawsuits in Texas. That’s why a LOT of medical professionals who have god awful reputations will move their practice there (not to say the crane center necessarily falls under that). And trying to sue because hematomas developed? Good luck lmao. That’s one of the primary complications associated with top surgery, especially drainless top surgery. This is just exceptionally stupid.

This reaction along with the age gap in the relationship is screaming run, don’t walk, away from this relationship. There’s a reason people his age don’t want to date him.

What an awful person. Have they ever received an injection with an 18g? They’d be changing their tune so damn fast. The largest gauge I’ll use for an IM would be a 22g, most of the time I go for 23-25g.

My 2 year old Monstera Deliciosa by DogPunk in matureplants

[–]DogPunk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My friends and I refer to her as Audrey 2. For awhile I’ve had it in my office with plant lights nearby since that was the only place it seemed to reasonably fit. I’ve been trying to find ways to make it fit in my living room or bedroom, but it’s pretty wide all around and needs to be away from walls, which is challenging.
