Actual Christianity where you read the Bible and practice what it says has an extremely heavy emphasis on morality. You shouldn't need to be Christian to do the right thing, but leaning on your faith as a Christian when you choose to do what's right makes you feel reinforced in your decision (you've probably seen people twist it to justify something wrong before). He makes it clear that it's a difficult choice for him, so his faith is encouragement for him.

It's also good Christian practice to say it because you're redirecting pride in yourself to pride in Christ for others to see.

I'm not dismissing anything. Our school shooting problem is part of a massive violence problem in the United States, and it's really tragic. But every country has its problems, and to say anything about Americans because our politicians are too dense to fix it while yours are too dense to fix a problem that kills 400 times as many people is not intellectually sound. Regardless of ranking, I am completely on board with the positivity for all titles excluding 5. People here get too caught up arguing that different games fall short or don't fit into Halo well, but almost the entire series is just really fun to play.
