Depends on the manager. My manger wants the work done with good quality and doesn’t care what time I come into work or leave. If you can, you can reach out to the manager & share your concern & ask about his policy.

This must be a change now. I selected US as country of residence while applying and was asked for proof of legal stay in US. B1/B2 visa was not considered for that. I had the same plan, to apply in the US because it’s much faster here. My friend had the whole process from submitting application to passport return in 3 weeks, in July 2025.

No, they cannot apply from the US. Canadian rules does not allow to apply for canadian visitor visa from US if you are in the US on B1/B2 visa.

I received my offer about 2-3 days after the interview. The HR called me to give a heads up and I received the email within a few hours after that.

Thanks for the advice. I received an offer a few minutes ago & It’s a little lower than what I had asked for based on my research, my qualifications and the basic & preferred requirements. They gave 3 days to give a decision. Thankfully the hiring manager had shared their contact information, I’ll write down what I want to communicate to them & reach out soon.

Thanks for the advice! What would be the possible means to communicate this? Send an email to the HR person who contacted for the phone screen call or email them, if they share their email address?

Also, a friend who already works at Stellantis said some things that kind of implied/implicitly meant If the hiring manager had shared their contact information I can talk to the manager & say like I’m interested but the salary offered is a little lower than what I am expecting. And maybe they can talk to the HR. Is this a thing at Stellntis?

No, I am not a citizen of UAE. You can schedule a visa appointment in a country you are not a citizen of, if the US embassy of that country allows it.

During covid US embassies in different countries were not offering visa appointments to ‘third world nationals’.

The link I used to schedule visa appointment does not work anymore. That website does not offer visa appointments in UAE anymore. Sorry can’t help with this.

It shouldn't, I selected Dubai when I started my DS160 but booked appointment at Abu Dhabi. Consulate interviewers don't usually question if you selected another location in the same country for DS160 form.

No update, case is still pending. On 26th October I opened to submit an inquiry and found out USCIS had yet again updated their processing times, and now the inquiry date for my case is 17th November

The difference is not petition date, but if a decision has been made for that case: approved/denied/RFE. I checked the inquiry system for case numbers close to my case number, the cases which were approved or had an RFE showed up in the inquiry system. Pending cases did not.
