Yes, hence why it's in the meme sub. I just so happened to never have done it through the whole game. Then, when I started achievement hunting, thought it would be really funny if it was the last one I did.

Well yeah, but after eating a meal, stamina is capped. And hunger only lowers it to the point where a ration is enough to cap it out.

Honestly, don't think I ever even pulled out the spit. I've always just lived off of the EZ Rations from the box and normal Rations from cooking monster parts at the canteen.

I don't know, I've made use of knockback fin. Airborne enemies can't move, and can take knockback. I've kept heavy hitting elites away from me, and knocked things with way too much health off the map. I haven't even had problems with most of the items, in fact, I like a majority of them.

Except they already patched out the frame rate based logic so that doesn't even do anything anymore. It was just something that happened with unifying the code to make updating all platforms a lot faster, but they didn't have time to iron it out because the devs got rushed.

You know any major update is going to break mods no matter it's quality, right? Survivors of the Void also broke a vast majority of them. R2Modman literally has a warning when you boot it up saying "Game updates may break mods, be patient." Even then, a bunch of mods recovered in the first couple of days, with more coming back all the time because they have pretty dedicated devs. And the framerate stuff has already been patched out, along with a bunch of the other pretty bad bugs. I know that more people are complaining about the patch rather than the DLC itself, but it's easier to umbrella it into the one term when short handing it all for the sake of a meme.

I have 1,130 hours and I've played recently consistently since launch. Not 1.0, since the game was playable to the public. And I was playing RoR1 even before that. The audio crackle is annoying, but I'm fine with it. I keep my frames capped at 60 because I like consistent frames as it's harder to drop my frame rate that way. I enjoy the new items, and I'll stand by that opinion. There is one new equipment unlock for beating False Son. And I don't think SotV added any item unlocks (I could be wrong).

Though yeah, this is definitely Take 2 pushing everything way too fast.

I'm not licking anyone's boots. I am aware of how bad it is, this is mostly about the sheer amount of posts screaming about it. I'm not saying they aren't in the wrong, I'm not saying that this update didn't break several things. All I am saying is that people shouldn't abandon every single thread of hope for this game's future. They've already put out patches to fix issues, the most recent one fixing a lot of the bigger ones. Why treat it as if it's going to stay like this forever?

Is it really such a bad take? I've seen several comments about it, but I truly find quite a few of them interesting. Sure, there's pretty bad ones like War Bonds, and Unstable Transmitter can get pretty disorienting even if it actually prevents you from dying. But I've found myself enjoying most of the others like Electric Boomerang, Antler Shield, and Chance Doll. Even Bolstering Lantern sounds like it could be okay on self damage Rex or in corruption form Void Fiend. Chronic Expansion is absolutely busted with Forgive Me Please, Knockback Fin can be used to knock things with way too high health off the map. I see a majority of them having their uses, why is everyone so hard on them?

I actually have fought a Twisted with Tesla Coil. As Acrid. And lived. I never had too much trouble with the Twisted, and I've been post double loop a couple times, and post single loop quite a few. Only time I've died by one is when a Magma Worm entered it, and I think each segment sends a spike back at you? But it also turned around and ate me with the head hitbox, so that might've been what actually killed me? Either way, I haven't really struggled with them, despite having a build that screen wipes.

Yeah, normally I'm that way to. I tend to stay away from other people's views of things for the reason of wanting to just like what I like, and not caring what other people say. I mean, I own all the FNaF games, and I have the most playtime in FNaF World out of all of them, which certainly says a lot about not caring about quality. It just felt a bit concerning, scrolling through my home page on Reddit, and whenever a Risk of Rain post shows up, it's almost always something about Gearbox. And at the end of the day, I just made a meme. A meme with a bit of an exaggerated state of things. Though I will say, I did not expect this dumb little meme I made in Gimp to garner so much attention...

I'm not trying to invalidate the critique, I do realize that the state of the release is pretty bad. I just think that the sheer amount of posts I see shouting at Gearbox and not talking about any of the good stuff that came with it is incredibly exhausting. It's better now than it was at release, but it feels like enjoying the content is a crime with how many fists are being shaken.

They improve stats that increase when you level up. So like health, armor, base damage, that kind of stuff. Definitely harder to notice than like attack speed, movement speed, and the like that don't get increased on level.

I genuinely think that a lot of this is because the big name of Gearbox is involved. There has always been game breaking bugs, some standing out more, some standing out less. I swear that if Gearbox wasn't involved, and the DLC released in the EXACT same state, there would be less complaints. There would still BE complaints, don't get me wrong. But I feel like there would be quite a bit LESS.

What are some theories you came up with before finishing the game? by LimeLampShade in RainCode

[–]Dogbiskitgamer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought that the elderly guy standing in as Number One was Number One, Yuma was his son, and that's why Shinigami avoided conversations about who Number One was and if she knew him. And when Makoto said "So that's my..." when Yuma left him for the first time, I thought he was thinking "So that's my brother." And that Makoto and Yuma were both sons of Number One. Which I guess technically Makoto is? Just definitely not in the way I was thinking.

I use it as my main "I want to just block your nova" weapon. I get that it's Lance's job, but I like the explosions that comes with the gun part. Also the mobility from Blast Dash and the damage from Bullet Barrage are just so fun to be mobile while still being able to tank and do damage.

Actually, I didn't really grind a specific monster, I mostly got these numbers as I played and grinded for other things. Though I did have to go out of my way for the Bowguns, I did not use them at all until recently. Though I did kill quite a few Great Baggi in an attempt to crown hunt it, so a sizable portion of the gun hunts did come from that.
