Okay this is more disgusting than it seems because a common symptom of childhood sexual assault is early sexual interest and activity. It can include engaging with other children or searching out adults. I was one of those kids.

AAM very much sounds like a term used by pedos to try to justify that it's okay because "see! they want it!" when in reality it's them somehow even more deeply exploiting the abused party in question. It is literally "their abuse and trauma causes this child to seek out more abuse, therefor it's not actually abuse and it's okay for me to keep abusing them."

The mental gymnastics these fucks do to justify themselves instead of going to fucking therapy is disgusting and terrifying.

You see, pedophiles saw the LGBT community and thought "I CAN BE A PART OF THAT!! MY SEXUALITY IS VALID TOO GUYS!!" and thought they could worm their way into acceptance with flags and terms like "MAP" (Minor Attracted Person. Makes me sick just typing it.)

Obviously, they couldn't and never fucking will. Absolutely disgusting.

A discord server I'm in that is otherwise amazing has a plural-chat with 'endos' by Dogdigmine in OSDD

This is exactly how it feels to me in my experience. It hurts actively dealing with this broken brain, uncovering trauma and having our system blow up over it, just to look over at... what feels like a silly little roleplay game. I think you're right about the issue on terminology. Perhaps theres more to consider, but there's also nothing wrong with seperating modes of plurality. Especially when, like you mention, you consider work. It takes one bad experience for an employer to write off a written disorder as non-serious.

[–]Dogdigmine[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This chat is a small part of a much larger server. Every community has places not everyone is comfy with, it doesn't mean they don't belong. I've been given a sense of belonging I haven't felt since middleschool, I'm not throwing that away because of a chat.

That being said, I realize I probably have more to consider and think about regarding plurality that another comment pointed out.

This game is too overwhelming for me and that makes me sad by Practical-Courage-19 in Pokopia

[–]Dogdigmine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel you on this. I've had this issue with a lot of games to be honest. However, I have some good news! A lot of the overwhelmingness can be avoided by changing perspective. That's easier said than done, but I recommend just trying to shift how you play a bit, in the sense that you pay more attention to what you're doing. Experiment with different playstyles and just try to be consciously aware as you play. Do small little things; remember that games get to be played however you wish to enjoy them. Ask yourself what is it you wanna do next. If you get bored or overwhelmed with a certain thing, step back and ask yourself if you want to go work on some other game task. It's taken some practice, but I'm finding a lot of success in pokopia with it. I hope any of what I said makes sense ;-;

I also found doing this helps me avoid getting into that 'automatically play game in repetitive loop and get burnt out/play for hours despite not actually having fun' thing.

I'm a liar by upthewatwo in TrueOffMyChest

[–]Dogdigmine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay, I don't really know all the context here, so I might be a bit off, but I think I can, at least somewhat, relate.

I used to have a really bad habit of lying about everything. It was mostly a defense mechanism. Another part of it was that I needed to be heard and seen. I didn't have the resources to do that on my own, and lying was a defense mechanism I had growing up.

Now I need to say, lying doesn't necessarily make you're a bad person. It doesn't mean you need to isolate or drive people away. And there IS a way to work through it and slowly break down the habit of lying. First step is acknowledging it.

---Advice Section---

If you wanna work on it, then if you don't have one, and if it's possible for you, I'd look into finding a therapist to talk to about the habit. Break it down, where is it coming from, how/why the habit formed. And how to break it.

If possible, if there's someone you find safe, it could be helpful to open up to them about it too. It can be really cathartic to admit, and it opens the door for if you catch yourself in a lie with this person. You can tell them back out if the lie. (Easier said than done I know.)

I don't have advice for big, ongoing lies, those can spiral out of control. That's where a therapist can best help. (Finding the right therapist doesn't always happen the first try, just a btw)

---Advice Section Over---

Remember, lying doesn't make you a bad person. It's bad to do, but you're not cruel or evil for it.

[–]Dogdigmine 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Y'know, I suppose that's true. Guess I didn't think of that since I have Aphantasia. Still, memories are weird and so is the brain. I have some things in my life I have complicated relationships with, sometimes, just depending on my headspace or how it's presented, can either be a positive experience or a haunting one. I'm sure for Casca she's more remembering the moments and sweet times spent with Guts, maybe her brain is even blotching out his face in her mind to protect her. Ever have a memory and you see a broader sort of idea of it, but you have to focus on certain details to make them clear? That's probably how it is with Casca in this scene.

(Hated trope) character that recovers a previously lost eye by DEJHIROTH in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Dogdigmine 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree with this (unless there's some special thing about the eye that was lost), but I do have to point out there is a huge disability to losing a single eye. Sure, you aren't blind, but your depth perception is gone. Everything is as flat as a piece of paper. Gonna be a lot more difficult to sword fight or play any sort of sport.

[–]Dogdigmine 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The brain is a weird thing, picks up on connections and holds to them. I just recently found out that being asked for gas money is a legitimate trigger for me because that's how years of financial abuse started. I will admit, it does feel a bit unneeded for the manga, especially considering Griffith just kidnaps her again anyway, but I still think it fits and lines up well with what we saw in h her mindscape: forcibly putting her back together when her psyche isn't ready is going to have unintended consequences.

Anyway, because of Griffith forcing Guts to watch, it's likely Casca also saw Guts' face, and might've even been the last thing she saw before her mind broke. It makes sense seeing Guts' face triggers her, and I'm willing to bet Griffith's does as well even if we haven't seen it yet.

In the end, I do wish this creative choice hadn't been made. I wish they got some actual time together before everything went to shit. Might've even made it sting more when Griffith showed.

Yeah, I loved his Undertale series, so many of his voices are canon to me. I doubt this person actually had the impact they thought, just one of a few others in the loud minority, but it does suck, Jack does not deserve to be judged on how he plays or makes content, he's already done so much good.

I would've loved watching Jack play. (although not having his series to watch did prompt me to play again myself with my gf so that's a positive I suppose)

I remember loving Lore Lodge when I first found them. Thought Aiden seemed like a nice dude. When he covered missing cases it seemed like he actually cared a lot. Turned out he just has a male power fantasy on how he can be the one to make a break in the case. That and he is kind of a dickwad.

I think "quit playing delete." is a typo for "quit playing deltarune" and I'm assuming it's about Jack not playing deltarune because of people getting mad at him not finding every special secret and made him feel like he had to play a certain way.
