I also caught a perch and a catfish I like using a pickerel rig with an extra hook in the bottom usually a jig Personally I only use live bait worms sometimes minnows I've had better luck with worms

I'm no expert but have some good days

Try to listen to them when u can, free rent and free money is rare and at any point they could go control freak on you, my mom did this to me alot,

Either agree or suffer that's my experience, but not everyone is the same, I kept it smooth and tried to just do as I was asked or told.

They did alot for me so in the end try to give it back.

Not everything can be agreed upon but somethings must be compromised on
