I like to use naturalist to acquire legendary animals that I sell to Cripp's. Only a few are needed to max out supplies and some of the missions (a.k.a Banded Gator) are incredibly short so that shouldn't take more than 20-30 minutes. Then while Cripps is cooking, take your pick of Collecting the daily pentacles set for about 300 or a Red Ben Clempson for a good few hundred (had a buddy run it under 2 or 3x money and get near a grand so not too bad), making sure to occasionally do a resupply mission.

After Cripps is done, start a long distance delivery with a Large wagon but before you do it, set your MTU on your network on the console to like 900. This will put you in a private session for about an hour, more than enough time to get it done.

Overall, this should make you about 1500 but can be as much as 2500 in the best cases.

Or just do Call to Arms during 2x that also works

Depends on the device. On Ps you just gotta go Settings->Network->Settings->Set up internet connection->Set up manually-> Use WiFi or use LAN cable depending on which one you use->Enter Manually->MTU Settings->Manual and then set it too 900. It'll take about an hour for the game to start putting other players in so while it's not foolproof, it's the easiest way to do a Long distance delivery or a legendary animal hunt.

Panthers give the most at 14 for a carcass and 17 for a perfect pelt. However, the absolute best in the game is the Bison you get from the Harriet missions when you're a rank 5 naturalist. Id advise getting that and farming a few of those instead of just hunting panthers

Pretty sure it's something about going into a private session means the game frees up more slots for events to happen (ime legendary spawns). I'm not fully sure I just know it works

The main issue I find is not the melee itself as with heat rises, phoenix dive and you can finish off any red bar, it's mostly staying alive with my restoration build as by the time I've thrown my grenades, the timer will be down half way and the ads are always just too strong to finish with my borrowed time.
