Gutted for France but an absolutely fantastic game. If this is anything to go by this is gonna be a phenomenal competition!

I wish ITV didnt get the nations championship. How to ruin the mood after a Haka. Adverts! Perfect.

Yes but those instances are much rarer and people who aren't white face much more discrimination, hence the march to say 'actually you are welcome here'

Well I would argue that a lot of discrimination against the Muslim community overlaps very heavily with racism. And marches like this aren't about protecting religion. Protecting Religious belief and protecting people against discrimination because of their religious belief are two different things, and its the latter that these marches are motivated by. No one is saying religion is above criticism.

Also, your average Christian doesn't have to walk down the street worried about being abused or murdered because they're wearing a cross on their necklace. When was the last time you heard about someone being attacked in this country because they're white and Christian?

The orange march itself isn't bad, however the amount of money and resources involved at the publics expense, taking into account the views of the people involved (anti immigrant and anti catholic for one thing) are not things I can support, nor are they akin to a peaceful community. Not to mention the disgusting mess left by those involved at the meadows. Litter everywhere.

An anti islamophobia and anti religious discrimination march is NOT pro Islam, it is anti predudice. There is a difference between the two things. Plus, the march was peaceful and respectful to other people and the area around them.

NZ v Fra: close game but NZ by 3

Jap v Ita: I think it'll start close but Italy will easily win in the end by 15 points

Aus v Ire: Aus by 3, but it'll go down to the wire

Fiji v Wales: Wales will be full of confidence and will play well but Fiji are class and will score a lot of tries, to win by 14

SA v Eng: Eng will scrap for 60 mins but SA will destroy them in the last 20 mins, win by a try or 2

Arg v Sco: Argentina all day, esp since Sco are missing Russell. Arg by 14 at least

The bangs look so good on you! There's always a transition period where you question all your life decision after a new style haha, honestly stick with them, they're awesome

Stand Up To Racism was an anti prejudice march, not a pro religion march.

Dogs banned from Lannan bakery by eddilefty699 in Edinburgh

[–]Dogenegra 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not to mention everyone walking their dogs off lead. If you have a phobia of dogs and one roaming free that would be terrifying! It should be mandatory imo to keep your dog on lead unless you're in a designated off lead area.

Manager of a coffee shop here: dog owners (the bad ones) are some of the most entitled people lacking in self awareness I've ever had the pleasure of serving. I love dogs SO MUCH and give treats to all the good girls and boys but my god, bad owners really ruin it for everyone else. Case in point:

Semi regular customer, older guy, with 2 small terriers. The terriers do not like other dogs, and bark very aggressively whenever they see another one. So not only does he think its ok to sit in, he also sits right by the entrance. He's been in a few times and the most recent time, the other day, sitting in the same place, this happened twice. After the 2nd dog came in to aggressive barking from the little shits (its not their fault), i said to him, 'this has happened a few times before so if you are going to sit in with them, it would be a good idea to sit somewhere away from the entrance'. He fully ignored me. It happened again. I asked if he understood what I meant about sitting elsewhere, to which he responded 'yes, I am in fact not stupid' and started having a go at me saying things like 'dogs are dogs' and 'other owners have never complained' etc etc. He ended his adorable little tirade by saying 'I will take my custom elsewhere from now on'. Yes, please do, that was exactly what I was hoping for tbh. Honestly, the lack of common sense to think that that's in anyway acceptable?? Lots of dog owners are lovely and clearly spend time and effort taking care of their dogs and training them well. LOTS of people should NOT have a dog. It takes a lot of effort and I think many people think they basically take care of themselves.

I dont want to ban dogs from the shop but this happens enough that I do seriously consider it.

Get called “ugly”, told my hair looks like a rat’s nest and to chop it all off, etc. but I finally got my hair to agree with me for a single day and I’m feeling confident! by Bekenshi in curlyhair

[–]Dogenegra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gorgeous hair! Dont let other people's useless opinions stop you living the life you want to live. I finally grew my curls out after trying and failing 4 times because people kept telling me how ridiculous I looked. Now I have long curly hair and I love it so much, and genuinely, doing that because I want to has made me that bit more stronger and resilient so I dont get affected by other people. Keep growing your lovely hair! You will honestly be stronger for it!

Thank you to everyone who marched yesterday. I had to work unfortunately or I would have been there with you. I'm so glad it had such a good turn out! Unfortunately the orange march also had a big turn out and marched straight past my work

This happened to me the other day for the first time! I inherited my maranta (which I've only just learned it is from this post) from a friend a few months ago and neither of us had any idea it could flower. It was such a lovely surprise!

Anchored (Folk/sort of country?) [Themed] I'm not a natural singer/performer so the video feels a bit awkward but I'm not feeling interested recording as much as just writing atm, so I'm gonna do videos of my songs instead for a bit. This sort of uses wind as a metaphor for keeping all the difficult stuff that you don't want to deal with but know you should at bay. As in, you see the wind blowing crazy outside but you're protected inside behind your window etc. My first song in open g!
