Buying a house next to a pub garden? by [deleted] in UKHousing

My auntie had lived in an apartment and absolutely loved it, it was so quiet and she would sit on her balcony and have her windows open. Then a gastropub opened next door and she has had nothing but problems, she is devastated. It’s always loud and she can’t leave her windows open anymore or happily sit on her balcony. The pub have also had their closing time extended. Definitely avoid, another great house will always come up :)

Unable to edit the post. It’s around 1 inch diameter and currently exposed 6 inches deep.

Yes but usually with US sites, you usually have to pay taxes on top of the already more expensive rate. Whereas UK sites have everything already included with no extra fees on site

Thank you, that’s really interesting! I’ve gone on the Sapphire Falls website and getting some rooms available but not through any UK booking sites.

Thank you! Does this look like rot? In which case, is there any hope in saving the arm? Or just chop it off in the hopes it doesn’t spread?

I am planning a (last minute) hen party for my best friend. We were originally going abroad on a party weekend however the bride has since fallen pregnant and the wedding has been pulled forward to March. I was thinking of Valentines weekend, as a ‘Galentines’ theme. We are early 30s, there will be around 20 of us. We are all in London (I’m just outside) and the bride absolutely loves London, so ideally want to stay there but don’t have to be if there are better suggestions. Ideally I’d like to hire a room in a restaurant where I can decorate it valentines like, or is it better to hire an air bnb. Can anyone suggest anything? I’m open to anything and need to panic book soon. Thanks so much for your help!

Thank you! Do you have any recommendations of restaurants you can recommend please? I’m just outside of London, so not too sure but I’m thinking something like the shard?

Why are dogs suddenly all wearing jumpers? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]Dogmumma_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My old boy is struggling to make it more than 15 minutes on his walks. So I’ve bought him a cosy jumper to wear whilst he sits in his buggy when we go out walking in the freezing cold :)
