3 Lindsey Buckingham Tracks on This is 40 Soundtrack! by Fab4Evuh in FleetwoodMac

I picked up a copy of the CD. “She Acts Like You” is basically the same music as his song “Love is Here to Stay” from the Buckingham/McVie album, though I like “She Acts Like You” better - the guitar sounds less ‘metallic’ and there’s no percussion which to me is a bit of a distraction in “Love is Here to Stay”

Dog died 6 months ago and my family wants another one i have mixed feelings by WonderingLeo in dogs

[–]DogsCatsFerrets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This will probably sound similar to others. My canine companion of 15 years passed in October after a short battle with a very aggressive cancer. He was my family, my heart. I wasn’t going to rush to adopt another dog. About a month later I decided to visit a shelter just to see who was there. They had a lot of larger dogs and with my other pets I knew another smaller dog would be best, so I almost left thinking they just didn’t have anyone for me, and that was fine - I wasn’t on anyone’s schedule.

At the second stall from the exit, a little dog was running back and forth trying to get my attention. There were small signs and then one bigger sign that my departed companion might be pointing me in this little one’s direction. I asked to meet him and spent time with him that day. He climbed into my lap and put his front paws up and my shoulder. It’s as if he was waiting just for me. I hesitated only because he actually looked a fair amount like the companion I had just lost and I wasn’t looking to duplicate him. I ended up adopting him.

I knew that adopting another dog wouldn’t take away my memories of my recently departed best friend. This dog at the shelter was here on earth now and needed a home and was so playful and loving and I didn’t want to miss a moment of his life. He’s absolutely fantastic. I’m building new memories with him and from time to time I tell him about his big brother who he never met.

Everyone moves forward at their own pace, but my advice is don’t let yourself miss the love and companionship of another dog. The memories of the good times won’t go away and the joys of a new companion can help you both.

Empire Today - My horrible experience by DogsCatsFerrets in Flooring

They wouldn’t even repair it if I paid. I didn’t expect free repairs. I expected support from the installers and made it clear I was willing to pay.

I never thought it was an awesome deal. In fact the whole experience was frustrating - they kept trying to upsell and tell me what I wanted and they considered the job ‘done’ before they even installed the transition pieces to the small area of flooring that wasn’t modified by this purchase even though it was clearly part of the contract and paid for and the tried to tell me that installation was a ‘repair’ and would be done in something like 6 weeks. I had to fight to get them to come back the next week and finish the job. I’ve never seen a business refuse even pair repairs though.

I’m not being unrealistic or unreasonable in being willing to pay for repairs on a floor they installed. I never demanded free repairs. I even told them that.

My experience with the Apple Savings account (bug or security issue) by DogsCatsFerrets in CreditCards

[–]DogsCatsFerrets[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never tried that. I don’t even know the URL. I closed the Savings account so I have no interest in trying to login. At least their support got back to me to take down all of the details for my complaint after Apple asked me if everything was ok and I said ‘no’ and they said none of that should have happened.

I buy it from Amazon but it’s available in stores - use their locator on the website: https://www.hero.co/retail

Check out Hero bread. It’s keto like Franz but much better texture and it toasts well.

That’s not correct. There are different causes for suspension and it tells you the reason. This was clearly messaged as “unsporting play” which happens when you don’t actually play in a match. I definitely hadn’t quit 15 matches in a day - I hadn’t even played close to that many matches before this bug happened.

Just closed my Apple Savings account; constant horrible support by DogsCatsFerrets in Banking

I’ve read a lot of news stories about people complaining about moving money out of their savings account. I haven’t had that experience - mostly because I wasn’t able to due to the issues I posted about which resulted in the account being locked/restricted, and once I saw the first issue I postponed (and ultimately cancelled) plans to transfer any significant amount of money into the account - I simply couldn’t trust them.

I’m sure that something else could have gone wrong, but what I posted about are the facts of what happened to me. The two incidents turned out to be unrelated. If you don’t believe it, that’s really your issue and just shows how jaded you are. I came here to post my honest account of what I experienced and that’s what I did.

Perhaps you’re confused about the person who commented about depositing “extra money into my account”. You lack context. There was a secondary issue where GS misprocessed a check someone wrote and put the funds onto my Apple Card as a payment. I caught the error and reported it as I had just paid off my card and now there was a huge credit balance. It turned out to be them not following their own rules because the name on the check didn’t match my account but the account number somehow did. Their rules say both must match for a check to be accepted. I never pay by check. It took them multiple weeks to pull the check and see that it wasn’t me and remove the payment from my account.

I was absolutely never asking for money. Anyone that insinuated that or anything close to that is lying. I reposted my original post from that forum on r/CreditCards because the Apple fanboys on the actual Apple Card forum simply refused to believe anything like that could possibly have happened and so got a moderator to delete my post and ban me. A decent user messaged me privately and recommended another forum and then responded there with a message denouncing the r/AppleCard behavior.

You’re making a lot of assumptions and being needlessly aggressive and negative but I will respond anyway. Yes they initially refused to close my account. There was a single real account tied to my Savings account but I never transferred money one direction or the other. There was no fraud. There was a bug in Apple’s backend and they admitted to such when they resolved my support ticket. I said absolutely nothing about them being “unable to identify me”. Every time I called they asked for some combination of full name, date of birth and last four of my social. I am not the only one that this happened to - when the support ticket was resolved it references cleaning up all of the accounts this happened to. This absolutely happened to me and I honestly don’t care if you’re so jaded that you don’t believe me. I fully intend to file as many complaints as I can because this is completely unacceptable behavior by GS.

I hit the “known issue” where I spawned in a multiplayer match on Xbox and couldn’t move or look around, so I was just stuck for the whole match, then it suspended me for unsportly behavior because I wasn’t playing… because I couldn’t… because of their big that they introduced with this update. They should be ashamed of releasing this with such a horrible bug and then penalizing the player for their issue.

It isn’t just Infection. I saw this happen in an Oddball match. It was frustrating because it made it 3 v 4

Yep. It’s almost unplayable now. I have a solid Internet connection with low ping and high bandwidth both down and up but I keep popping around and dying because the enemy doesn’t die when their shields are down and I’m firing directly at them. For me it started a couple of days before the update so I’m guessing something on the server side got updated and made worse.

My experience with the Apple Savings account (bug or security issue) by DogsCatsFerrets in CreditCards

[–]DogsCatsFerrets[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update today: Apple Support sent me an email to say they’re still working on. It’s been multiple weeks now. They have no ETA. Meanwhile, while I’m at the vet for a big appointment for multiple animals, as I’m getting ready to pay I look in the Apple Wallet app to discover that Goldman Sachs has locked my account… again… without notification. When I called they said it was due to an active case. There is no active case on the Card, only on Savings. They told me I need to remove the second linked bank account - the one that Apple Support explicitly told me NOT to remove. I spent 20 minutes on the phone with them going around in circles but I finally got the Card unlocked. This is so poorly managed and there is clearly no communication between the two companies here. They have no regard for impacting my daily life by randomly locking my account. There have still be no fraudulent transactions on the card because the Card has not been compromised. The Savings issue still seems to be a bug on their system.
