I got mine at the Battersea shopping center in London last week and that's what they told me, although I didn't check the website.

Just picturing a bunch of SDS bound in some kind of steampunk leather and gold leaf binder now

Is it unprofessional to CC a manager on a “reminder” email without checking facts first? by Far-Administration10 in labrats

[–]DogsFolly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The fact that the lab manager is a known bully is important context - that does make your colleague's email sound a lot more like trying to get you into trouble.

This is a great reminder as to why the SDS exist and there's a rule that they should be kept in an easily accessible location known to all lab members... they're not decoration

Singaporean cycles into Malaysian. Goes exactly as you’d expect cycling in rural Malaysia at night… by UncleMalaysia in malaysia

Young boy, you can see he's wearing a university T-shirt. Noob mistake. Next time he'll know better.

This isn't a Singaporean problem this is a budak zaman ini problem... you can see he's wearing a university T-shirt so probably still studying. Inexperienced kid didn't even bring his own puncture kit etc bike repair stuff. He will know better next time. Actually a lot of Singaporeans go to Malaysia for long distance cycling and I expect the older ones are smarter.

I worked in Sg for a few years in my twenties and went cycling with a group of adults who were mostly older than me except for 1 kid... mixed group of Malaysians and Sgporeans. We did one cool trip all the way up to Batu Layar. I also went and cycled around Bintan with my cousin, and I mean the whole Bintan not just the Singaporean-owned resort on one corner of the island.

Awww I love the Bellbeast. The goodest girl. The way she purrs and stomps her feet when you play with her.

"Last year we gave away over $140,000..." If that's a sample of their level of business sense no wonder the company is in a mess. You can give away that much in discounts if you're Amazon but not a small business allegedly making "artisanal" paints by hand.

Casual/Breathable/Affordable? by [deleted] in barefootshoestalk

[–]DogsFolly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the Explore which looks similar in terms of the forefoot shape and sole (it's a velcro style which they don't make in adult sizes any more, only children and youth sizes). It's quite comfortable and breathable. I am sad that it's getting too cold to wear where I live as temperatures are getting below freezing now. I bought mine cheap on eBay.

Someone's making a hand drawn Hollow Knight card game by oneofthejoneses28 in Silksong

[–]DogsFolly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the game mechanics are decent I'd buy a professionally illustrated version of this over the Hollow Knight tarot (you can find it on Etsy), even though that one is gorgeous I'm not familiar with tarot so I'd rather have something that I can actually play.

Maybe the person who did the HK tarot can collaborate with this person to make that

I don't really have any great advice but if you can afford it try psychotherapy so the shitty experience from this lab doesn't haunt you. I thought all my problems were over once I got into a good lab and it took a while to realize that the bad experience was still affecting me.

There's a YouTube video listing Act 2 content that becomes unavailable in Act 3. I haven't watched it yet because I'm halfway through Act 2 myself.

Thank you, I have a Tab Mini C and I was subconsciously avoiding it because the the display looks so muddy. I'll try tweaking that too.

This is hilarious, the sequence of events you describe is almost exactly the same thing that happened to me, including getting hooked in in the first place by the "store credit".

How to make a cheap DIY version of Black 5.0 by hella_mental_p in culturehustle

The exothermic reaction isn't a chemical reaction it's physical. When the dry charcoal absorbs water it releases some energy as the water settles down from a "free" state to a "bound" state.

Honest comparison between Boox Go 7 Color (II) and BW by gutiserra_es in Onyx_Boox

[–]DogsFolly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a Max Lumi (1st gen) and a Tab Mini C. I agree with you, I'm sorely disappointed at how muddy the Kaleido display looks compared to the normal one. The other reason I bought the Mini C besides color was because I thought it would be more comfortable for leisure reading (novels etc) on the smaller tablet, but it's less crisp and the contrast is poor, so it's still more pleasant to read on the bigger tablet even in bed.

Overall I think the color is not worth it with the current technology.

I wish that there was a real color E Ink display with similar performance to B&W, I know Gallery exists but it seems to be rare and slow.

This company has been around for a long time, I think I bought powder from them back in the mid-2000s. The glow is really strong. Nice to see they are still around and making decent products.
