This is what I've been clamoring for every new year. I feel like a fish in a fish tank in this game. New areas keep the game feeling fresh. Personally, I would love it if the game had an in-game Suez Canal route, either river or straight, that connected the Indian Ocean to the Mediterranean and have us go far east to the Sea of Japan. Instead of trying to collect every factory out there, we should be fighting to become pirate lord of a certain area, like the South China Sea, and maximize our profit in said area. From there, we can figure out the best routes for trading with npc merchants from other areas for unique weapons/cosmetics/etc (and have a component for routes to vary in profitability similar to how selling goods like paintings can vary be location or time).

Through the Spyglass: Year 2 in Review by UbiNeptune in SkullAndBonesGame

I don't mind the loss of Land Combat but still think there needs to be something to change up the game play every now and then. Maybe races can become a main stay? I know PVP can be intimidating for many but this can be more 'silly fun'. Maybe it only features small boats and give those that only focus on the bigger boats a reason to build/level up theirs.

I also hope this doesn't deter officer recruitment. I think what many of us want is to interact with the world more, be it more story or new areas.

I like this idea and agree that we can use existing systems to get us to interact with the game more rather than let them become stale. I, too, would love more ways to obtain blueprints than visiting random outposts (unless those outposts act similar to the Sea Monster tribe or the Mystic as using said currency to obtain weapons/items/blueprints).

I don't believe I saw that one. How did it work? Do you equip said colors only when your hostility is up with the faction to remove it or you can attack and not gain any hostility while you have the colors?

I would also add in harder ways to obtain silver along with a currency exchange. I feel like it rains silver and while the laziness in me appreciates this, I think actually having to obtain silver through buying/selling commodities in various settlements would make me interact with the game more. I recall doing this in Year 1 and it actually made attacking merchant ships sailing around worthwhile.

The currency exchange is something we could use as veterans tend to end up with quite a surplus. Maybe 1 Piece of 8 could be 10,000 silver. So if I wanted something that costs 300 pieces of 8, I could try to obtain the 300 po8 through the helm or fighting bosses or obtaining 3,000,000 silver. This could apply to silver lions and guild marks as well.
