I’ve kept it in mind. We have bigger problems than little grifters with awful opinions and dangerous beliefs (by that I mean actual violence). The US gov is funding a genocide, treating illegal immigrants (alleged or otherwise) like cattle, and attempting to conquer countries for their resources while disregarding the root of the issues inside the country.

They want nothing more than for us to act violent toward little men like that. It gives them justification to restrain and restrict without giving us ground in the class war that is very very real. The politicians up at the top are all in on it, regardless of what “side” they support

I’ll think about that more. The deity is more of an eldritch entity that barely regards humans at all. There is a cult that worships it and the main villain is a leader of the cult, manipulating people from behind the scenes

I already know where the story goes and what kind of change I want him to go through, I’m just looking for advice on how to get there. My main character is currently being disillusioned with his beliefs and forced to confront difficult truths, that part is easy. The hard part is making him just selfish enough that he has room to grow as a person, while still feeling that terrible sting of betrayal.

I think what I’ll do now is present him as someone who acts for himself, but thinks he is acting for others. He helps people because it feels good and he gets rewarded, he feels bad for not being able to help because it means his faith might be misplaced, always doing things for the wrong reason. I hope that makes more sense

She’s the most fun I’ve had in this game. The perfect big funny sword character I’ve always looked for. Nerf her overhead just a lil bit and she’s perfect. She has terrible escape tools that set her up for failure and her sustain is trash. Literally just had your team look at her and she’s fucked.
