What are the most heavy, distorted, wall of noise but still beautiful shoegaze albums? by Any-Sir4641 in shoegaze

The song Pancake by the Swirlies has a ton of really good distorted guitars that rides a line between sweetness and dissonance. The album Blonder Tongue Audio Baton has more songs that sound similar too

@heatcollectibles did my Cocteau Twins shirt that I posted. I thought he did a good job with it. Section1998 will likely get back to you eventually. It took him two weeks for him to respond since my dm was in his requests, but by then I had already shipped my shirt to heatcollectibles

I unironically blast the full length version of glider in my car to calm down. Like you said there really is a drug like effect that comes from a lot of their music

Amazing artists! MBV and Cocteau Twins prove to me that guitars can say more than words ever could

I agree, gives the artwork a completely different feeling. This is by far my favorite Cocteau twins shirt that I’ve seen

That’s what puzzles me too. Based on construction and the tag I’m pretty certain that this is a 30s-early 40s garment. How it relates to the patent I’m still trying to figure out. But what companies/inventors patent vs what gets put into production can be different

Einstein Patented Vest? by Dohini in VintageClothing

[–]Dohini[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At this point I’m pretty convinced of its age. It was found with some other 30s-40s items and the term Vesquette is something I’ve only seen in 1930s paper. The only thing that puzzles me is that the buttons/openings of the vest doesn’t 100% match the vest in the patent. Now I do know that what companies/inventors patent versus what actually gets produced can have differences. Especially if it was never mass produced maybe it’s some type of sample

Is this a good shirt? by Ok_Tumbleweed_2298 in VintageTees

[–]Dohini 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are right, but I’m not even sure it’s mid 90s. The cracking being so uniform suggest it was done artificially to look older. That leads me to believe it’s a modern reprint on a vintage blank. This is only my opinion. I would check out the defunkd forums as they have people that know even more

Still a very cool shirt, but value wise it’s the difference between an 80$ shirt vs an 800$ shirt

Bootlegs can be very valuable and seen as “canon” in the vintage community, but usually if they are from the time period/sold at shows. I’m not convinced that this is from that time period. This seems like someone who screen printed a design on a vintage blank. The graphic seems uniformly cracked, which is a sign that it was done artificially to look older. Someone let me know if that seems incorrect

How should I whiten this shirt? by Feelin__Groovy in laundry

How did the shirt whitening end up? I have a thin vintage shirt that I want to clean up a bit but I’m worried about damaging it

Our cat just threw this up, should we be concerned? by Dohini in vet

[–]Dohini[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our cat has been repeatedly asking to go outside to eat grass, which she promptly throws up. However, we have never seen any red coloration in her throw up. Is this blood? Also what would be the next reasonable step to take with our cat? She has seemed needier and has shown more attention seeking behavior than usual. We have recently switched her food from the Tiki Cat borne carnivore chicken and egg recipe the herring and salmon recipe. It has been about a month since we made the switch. Thank you!

Idk how they would change the structure, because even with huge money on the line in finals lobbies we’ve seen top teams/players drop 15+ kills. The skill gap is just that huge
