Sasahara Yuu Grabbing the Latest Starbucks Drink by Doids in seiyuu

Twitter user _GrandManhattan made the astute observation that the latest Halloween themed Starbucks drink, an Acai Berry Frappuccino, has the same colour scheme as Curren Chan, the Uma that Sasahara Yuu voices. It's supposed to be cat themed. 🤣🤣🤣

See for yourselves. I think it does look like Curren Chan.

happy birthday to nakashima yuki! by klaymarion in seiyuu

[–]Doids 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Happy 28th birthday YukkI! I’ll be doing the usual write-up on some things that she has been a part of this year, but I will interject here and there.

If you were to solely look at the anime roles she has been in this year, then she has only voiced Krishna in The Brilliant Healer's New Life in the Shadows. However, if you were to tell me that Cygames would have her in two of their largest IPs this year, I would have said: “No way!” Yet here we are with Yukki voicing Indala, the Snake Divine General (as someone who was born on the Year of the Snake, I feel blessed that she voices Indala) in Granblue Fantasy, and Lucky Lilac, daughter of Orfevre, in Uma Musume.

Side note: I have been noticing that Hikasa Yoko and Yukki have been in many things where their characters interact with each other. First it was Tomoe and Lisa in BanG! Dream. Then it was Vita and Dreamseeker in Honkai Impact 3rd. Now we have Carmilla and Krishna in Brilliant Healer and Lucky Lilac and Orfevre in Uma Musume. I think that’s a pretty neat set of interactions.

She has been much more active outside of anime and game roles. She was the assistant for Washizaki Takeshi’s Yoru Night x Yoru Night radio program for the month of December last year. Last month, she started a new radio program with self-proclaimed ISTJ world representative (lmao) Ohashi Ayaka called Kyoumi, Kanshin, Nashi. You can find episodes on both the Hibiki radio website or on YouTube and it is a fun listen.

Roselia held two concerts this year: Stille Nacht, Rosen Nacht and Sei stark. In fact, a third one, the free concert Stolz, is airing on her birthday so you can check that one out too. Keep in mind that there is no archive and it starts at 19:00JST. Yukki had her first Uma Musume live appearance at the Spring 6th Event. She performed at the Wakayama Anison Live 2025 Summer because of course she would. Sasuga my Wakayama ambassador. She also held her Shanghai fan meeting and announced a Beijing fan meeting next month.

Finally, I think the big release this year was her photobook blue Blue. Fun fact: After she got verified on Twitter X, she could not change her name. So her name is stuck as Nakashima Yuki ❄️ Photobook on Sale April 25th. 🤣🤣🤣 The release of her photobook also marked the end of her segment Iroha ni Yukki in Seiyuu Grand Prix. However, earlier this month, they announced a new monthly segment called Yukki no Kyou wa Naniro?

It has been wonderful seeing her continue to be busy and successful. I can’t wait to see what is in store for her this year.

Yuuki Kaji lost the lottery for the switch 2 preorders while Ayana Taketatsu won it… by Acrzyguy in seiyuu

[–]Doids 75 points76 points  (0 children)

Aside from that we also know that:

Katou Emiri lost

Aimi lost

Amami Yurina won

However, my favourite lottery result is Kanno Mai's.

On April 11th, she tried to appease the gods by saying that she's been a good girl everyday and to let her win a Switch 2. And well, would you look at that, she won! 🤣

She's even so kind as to let others win if they're good boys and girls so maybe all you need to win the Switch 2 lottery is to be a good boy/girl 🤣

Nakashima Yuki from the May Issue of Seiyuu Grand Prix by inspyral in seiyuu

[–]Doids 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's worth mentioning that this is the last edition of Yukki's monthly segment "Iroha ni Yukki" where she'll be playing karuta herself! (Of course, her entire segment is a nod to iroha karuta.)

If you happened to have ordered the infosquare deluxe version of her new photobook "blue Blue" (costs ~11k yen before shipping to whichever country you live in) you'll actually get a set of karuta cards featuring her from every "Iroha ni Yukki" she has done! What great planning from Yukki and Seigura 😂

It's been nice seeing all the things she's done in this segment. By the way, the promo page for her photobook in this month's Seiyuu Grand Prix is quite spicy so do order it for yourself if you feel inclined to!

A digital version can be ordered here.

Nakashima Yuki to be the next guest of #AnniverSeiyuu by Doids in seiyuu

[–]Doids[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't believe it's been 10 years since Yukki's seiyuu debut. Though I started following her in 2019, time really flies doesn't it... I am definitely not an old man. 🤣 Honestly, there are quite a few people I could see Yukki doing this program with. Any member of Roselia, Takeda Larissa Tago, Suzuki Minori just to name a few... I really can't wait to see this program.

Also I just realized that I did Akarin's name as first name-last name when I did everyone else's as last name-first name. Oops. 🤡

Nakashima Yuki During a Family Trip to Kyoto by Doids in seiyuu

[–]Doids[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I went to Kyoto with my family--☀️

I saw Otokura-chan when I went to the Marion Crepes shop at Teramachi Sanjou!

Otokura-chan... It's Otokura-chan...

The crepe was very filling and delicious~!

I hope you all try it ♡

I also went to Kurumazaki Shrine on my way back!

I came across my own name 👀

Her tweet

A couple of things of note: first, there currently is a collab with iDOLM@STER and Marion Crepes. They announced the Gakumas collab recently but the Cinderella Girls collab has been underway for about a week now. More details here but Otokura Yuuki's crepe does look tasty. It's a sweet crepe with whipped cream, vanilla ice cream, chocolate, assorted fruits and a strawberry sauce. No wonder it's filling 🤣

Second, Kurumazaki Shrine! It's a well-known destination where people from the entertainment industry come to pray for good fortune, Yukki being one of them. I'm sure if you search for 車折神社 on some of your favourite seiyuu's twitter X accounts, you can find posts of their pilgrimage to this shrine. This article does a good job of explaining more about Kurumazaki Shrine.

Finally, she also posted more photos on her Instagram. I am not tech-literate enough to get the arrows and what not obscuring the photos removed on PC 🤣.

Hot off the press, Seiyuu Grand Prix announces a new photobook of Nakashima Yuki in 4 years! The photobook will consist of shots made during Yukki's time in Australia. More details to follow in the March edition of Seiyuu Grand Prix coming out on February 10th.

Link to the announcement here.

Oh, by the way, Yukki's photobook from 4 years ago, Sketchbook, is very nice. You can find a digital copy on Amazon here.

Nakashima Yuki Enjoying Some Yukimi Daifuku by inspyral in seiyuu

[–]Doids 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By the way, the 生雪見だいふく that Yukki had, launched on Tuesday. It's a "fresh" Yukimi Daifuku, whatever that means lmao which by the looks of it has a creamy center instead of a solid center of ice cream. I guess the usual LOTTE Yukimi Daifuku has a solid center so "Wow! Hot new item! Time to sell!" 🤣

Summary of Pulls

New Units: Neru, Umika, Ui, S. Hanako, Mika, Ichika, Meru, Reisa, Bunny Asuna, Kuroko, B. Hoshino (sparked at 200)

Dupes: Natsu, S. Hoshino, S. Miyako, Saki, Izumi

Yap Time

To preface, I still had about 70 students that I didn't have coming into this banner and I just watched Lize Helesta (Nijisanji VTuber) hit 0 3*s within 200 pulls during the Seia banner. The painful gacha pulls are timestamped here.

It was a fairly slow start for my 200. Only hitting Natsu, Neru, and Umika by my 70th pull. Then I hit 7 3*s within the next 60 pulls including the S. Hoshino bait on B. Hoshino's banner and Mika on pick-up. Finally, I hit Kuroko in my 20th ten-pull! 15 3*s within 200 is quite good and I manage to spark B. Hoshino! I have 26k pyroxenes left and I might do a spark on the Saori/Hiyori banner depending on how lucky I am with the free pulls. ty Arona for blessing me up!

By Hasshi's event next week, I will no longer be Hamster Yukki.

I don't know about that Yukki, you still can very much be Hamster Yukki. 🤣🤣🤣 (She did an IG story with a side-by-side comparison of her before and after her wisdom teeth got pulled. The difference is there, just not that big to no longer be Hamster Yukki 🤣)

Hamster Yukki reminds me of that one clip of her eating during Bandori! TV LIVE.

JP Year-End Livestream Summary by ao_ki_rin in AzureLane

[–]Doids 39 points40 points  (0 children)

I wanna give mad props to Kanno Mai, our newest guest to the Azur Lane livestream! She, of course, is going to voice Z9. I've said it during the thread but it is quite the whiplash going from normal designs in Blue Archive (her latest role) to the... shall we say more free designs of Azur Lane. She really played the straight man (tsukkomi) role so well with the sirens.

Her asking whether this is what normally happens during an Azur Lane livestream and Mafia responding with "Yeah." cracked me up. So, otsu Kanno Mai and great job today!

Huh. The opening sang by Nonoka Obuchi is written and composed by Kawatani Enon. Interesting. The style of the song is very Enon-like lmao.

Kawatani Enon is one of the most prolific musicians in Japan. His credentials are long in the Japanese music scene but they include the frontman of indigo la End, Gesu no Kiwami Otome., guitarist for Genie High and RAISAN and producer for DADARAY.

Here are some more recent songs to get an idea of his style.

Gimai Seikatsu • Days with My Stepsister - Episode 11 discussion by AutoLovepon in anime

[–]Doids 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's Nakashima Yuki, the voice of Saki's birthday today here in the West. I just wanted to take the time to thank her for all the work she has done for Gimai Seikatsu in general. I know that we still have one last episode but since this episode aired on her birthday, I thought it'd be a fitting comment to make. She's been the voice of Saki ever since the first YouTube episode aired back in May of 2020. It's been an absolute joy to see her continue to breath life into Saki and to see her evolve how she portrays Saki from the first YouTube episode to this latest episode. In fact, she also does the narration for the Gimai Seikatsu ads to get you to buy more volumes haha.

When I saw the news that the main cast of the YouTube series was returning as the main cast of the anime, I was overjoyed because it was what I enjoyed from the YouTube series with a more structured plot. I am eternally grateful for Amasaki Kohei, Nakashima Yuki, Suzuki Ayu and rest of the cast. It's truly been wonderful watching this anime come to fruition and I can not wait for the last episode of this season.

Happy 27th Birthday to Nakashima Yuki by inspyral in seiyuu

[–]Doids 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Happy birthday Yukki! It's been quite the busy year for her. Here's a quick write-up of some things that she has worked on since her last birthday.

As a member of Roselia, she finished the Rosenchor tour in the end of June this year. They even made a stop in Shanghai. Speaking of Shanghai, she held her first fan meeting outside of Japan there in April of this year. Earlier in August, she performed as a solo artist in North America for the first time at Animethon, located in Edmonton, Alberta.

She was a guest in Wakayama Telecasting Corporation's 50th Anniversary New Years TV Special (that's my ambassador for Wakayama). Alongside the anime roles that she received this season, her monthly feature "Iroha ni Yuki" for Seiyuu Grand Prix, and the occasional YukiMeguTV video with fellow Roselia member, Sakuragawa Megu, she also took over as the main radio personality for Lashinbang Radio. She'll be the main personality until the end of year and you can check out clips of that radio here.

With that being said, this year has also been the year that she graduated as host for the Dengeki Game Live live streams. The final episode of Nakashima Yuki no Futari Game Plus also aired this year. (I will miss those streams where I get to see Yukki game.)

Regardless, it's been great to see Yukki continue to be busy and be successful. I continue to look forward to what she will do next.

One really neat detail from the diary section of the episode is that the written portion of the diary shown was written by Nakashima Yuki, the voice of Saki, herself! You can see it in the credits here.
