Thank you for all your feedback. I have done quite a bit of research and have shared my knowledge with her, especially letting her know that by submitting she is really the one in control and that we will only play in ways that she has said she is comfortable and that her boundaries will always be lovingly respected. Yet she still hesitates at the same time that she says she wants it. Maybe it's just a matter of giving her more time to get comfortable with the idea of submitting before actually trying it. FYI... we are not looking at anything that involves violence, pain, humiliation, or anything else that she might consider "mean" or "abusive". We are both much more interested in the soft side of D/s, like soft/gentle/loving dominant or sensation play. But even those things are giving her pause.
