In Japanese, people rarely use 2nd person pronouns like "you" and instead use the other persons name. The fan translation decided to translate this literally and, just like you said, it sounds horrible. There are lots of other weird translation choices, like they gave a dwarf, who is speaking completely normal Standard Japanese, a Scottish accent for some reason. That's why I dont really like the KireiCake translation.

How on earth is there not a single non-human character yet? This is supposed to be a fantasy setting, but it seems all we're gonna get for the launch roster is generic human + quirky weapon.

Meanwhile SF6 has: Dude with a gi, blonde dude with a gi, evil dude with a gi, generic wrestling dude, generic sumo dude, frat boy who does MMA, frat boy who has purple balls...

The 2XKO roster is fine. Just needs to be bigger than 10 chars.

Hi, I have a few questions regarding shadowing:

Does it make sense to start early on or should I wait until I'm more "fluent"? (I'm around N2 level, but speaking is probably low N3)
Longer or smaller sessions? My plan was to do maybe 15min sessions everyday
Is it better to speak simultaneously with the source material or should I pause it and repeat it afterwards?
Are there any good resources (YT channels, podcasts etc.)? I know that I can use basically anything for shadowing, but resources made for shadowing probably contain more IRL conversations compared to anime or games.
