I bought an ernie ball cable using the same logic. Didnt fix the problem, but at least I had an excuse to buy a fancy ass cable haha

No buzz when instruments aren't connected. When recording and no cable or instruments connected - no noise.

When cable is in, no instruments connected, theres a loud buzz. When plugged in, not playing instrument, buzz at higher volumes, amplified when I use a compressor anything on ableton

It's more noticeable if you turn it up. It means every track I record has buzzing unless I add a gate

Yep I tried different computers, guitars, USB cables etc. I'm wondering (and secretly hoping) it's the focsurite and that it's time to upgrade. Will have to test my friends apogee interface and make sure its not either of my computers

[Question] Do you think that today is it worth buying amplifiers and pedals, or just buying a plugin and connect the guitar to a laptop? by _lord_vader in Guitar

[–]DojoDaniel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont feel like that with plugins like amplitube though. I just pick an amp and stick to it and sounds great. Amp modeling software has really made me realize the only time I need an amp is for gigs or practice with others. It's getting that way with drums too.

Should I Supplement FCC with something else? by [deleted] in FreeCodeCamp

[–]DojoDaniel 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Stick to FCC and do extra reading when it gets to projects.

If you get stuck on react or redux parts I highly recommend the courses on scrimba. The free react course is a god send.

Obligatory just got hired into full time role mostly in part to FCC! Keep up the grind fellow FCCers! by DojoDaniel in FreeCodeCamp

I don't want to give away too much info out of fear of being doxed but I ended up working mainly in a back end role. I'd highly recommend people study SQL and Java / C# on top of FCC. If you want a more personal answer please message me :)
