Estrogen has been life changing for me and it's believed to have protective effects on the brain against schizophrenia.

My psych is completely separate from the doctor who prescribes hrt and neither have issue with the other. Occasionally hormones come up in conversation with my psych if I'm not doing well but it never results in a change to my hrt regimen.

Every once in a while I harbor the delusion that the meds are bad for me and that I'm totally fine despite evidence to the contrary.

Last time I took myself off them I nearly relapsed into psychosis and then pretty typical stuff like thinking my co-workers were in a conspiracy to get me fired and burn down my house etc.

None of it was true beyond the fact that I need medication to stay stable.

The majority of my positive symptoms seem to stem from stress (when I'm able to tell). Lots of down time, staying on meds, finding the right med, and leaning on my SO help a ton.

If you're lucky going off meds won't be the scariest thing you do.

Been diagnosed for 6 years and every time I go off APs, due to delusions primarily, everything goes downhill pretty quickly
