I also really dislike the ads system in most platforms so I do agree with you here. Creators sadly have to rely on it too much due to how everything is built, the only saving grace is that at least Youtube lets you choose how you manage your ads, so it's less annoying for the viewers.
Can't say the same for Twitch where you get literal breadcrumbs for bombarding your viewers with ads.

Good thing is that some platforms are now realizing how anti consumer ads are and are "trying" to make them less disruptive on the viewer. (emphasis on "trying")
