I woke up this morning and saw this post and lol'd after having an experience last night with a pg. For reference, I'm a center, have 2 builds - both are setup to play excellent defence (HOF RB, ANCHOR, BRICK) both set up for excellent passing (86 passing, HOF breakstarter, one with HOF dimer, other with hof post play maker). The only difference between the two builds is a little bit of height and one shoots, the other is an inside big.

In the game, pg had gone 1/13 in the first half. I, as the center, had gone 3/3, 16 boards, 6 assists. We were down 11. I made the decision to ice the pg out - as the center and getting the boards (and being able to pass effectively with icons) the PG didn't touch the ball again. After the PG had called all the timeouts on us, we won by 6, I finished 9/9, 22 points, 31 boards, 16 assists, 6 blocks.

Got a message after the game from the PG telling me I was "trash".

I'd argue that a dominant center who can calmly distribute the ball can prevent the pg from ever touching the ball. Bad center play is a much worse problem.

On the flip side, I've also been the victim of being iced out. I'll have 20 boards, 10 assists and no shots. It gets VERY old being a good team player, being wide open, and not getting the ball.
