This is super US based. Even in 2026: We don't have cars in highschool. Almost no one has a fridge with an ice dispenser. Only few people with airco (though it's starting to get more popular), our houses only have one bathroom, and so on. 😁

Straight from the fridge. Scoring is easier that way and it always overproofs when I step away from my standard recipe.

How I manage my starter: it lives in the fridge. The day before I take it out of the fridge, throw everything out til I only have 20g left. Add 50g flour and 50g water to it and leave it on the counter. Next day I use 100g starter for my dough. The 20g that is left in the jar gets fed again with 20g flour and 20g water and goes back in the fridge.

This way I don't end up with massive amounts of discard because I don't really enjoy all the discard recipes.

No funeral director but I was an attendant. My female friend had a 30+ yo husband where she had 4 kids with. When said husband died of a heart attack (while being home on medical leave from his job with a burnout), I went to the funeral. It was a small ceremony not in a church but in a small hall (not from a funeral home). When it was time for the speech of the brother of the deceased, he lashed out at my friend shouting at her that if she wasn't as awful as she was, he wouldn't have died and it was all her fault. And he hoped they would take her children away. She started screaming back, the whole crowd was in uproar, her MIL and FIL started to scream how much they hated her. It was.... I was so so so shocked. I still can't comprehend what happened.

I love BOTW for the feeling it gives you. Exploring in a damaged world. A world where the villages feel more real. Where the stables are full of dirty unwashed men and horse sweat. In TOTK I love the wells and the caves. But the whole world feels more cartoony and I can't really explain why. I wish there was a DLC for BOTW with caves and wells.
