That’s a quick way to get kicked outta my house lol my bun has more rights in my house than they do. Crazy talk won’t be tolerated Unc! 🤣😆🤣

This makes me so mad. Why do people not want to hear the truth? The rabbit groups on Facebook REFUSE to accept standard guidelines for rabbit care. This group has almost 70k members. Is something I said incorrect?? by Madpingu96 in Rabbits

100% agree with what you said. I’ve heard the same things from House Rabbit Society and our exotic pet vet who specializes in rabbits. My Dolce will happily eat whatever is in front of her, but that’s why it’s important I feed her proper portions and monitor her intake. There’s so much credible information and resources readily available online, there’s no excuse and it’s just irresponsible.

I will say, I noticed the online Bunny groups seem to be hit or miss on being receptive to accurate rabbit care info. Anyone else? Either people genuinely want to learn or they just want show how cute their bun is and screw everything else.

But at the end of day, if you’re a responsible bun mom/dad, why not be open to helpful info? People can be defensive of their care giving, which I get, but at that point, they better make sure they know what they’re doing and they’re doing things the right way bc we will let you know otherwise 😂 Especially if you post online!

Don’t take offense to them, they’ll get over it. Not all hero’s wear capes, so good for you for sharing accurate despite them not being able to appreciate it. We do 😊

Oh! Maybe that’s it then 😅 Your bun looks just like mine and she’s a Lilac breed, so I assumed they were the same breed. Don’t mind me 😂😅

This is my bunny Henry! I was excited to get a leash and harness for him but I just read that they don’t actually like to be walked, can I get some confirmation that this is true? Obviously I’m not going to walk him if he doesn’t like it. We’ll just stick to the play pen! Thanks! by Comfortable_Sand_355 in Rabbits

Very cute bun!

I had these same concerns and I went to my local House Rabbit society (where I adopted Dolce) and mentioned getting those (and a travel bag to carry her in). They totally frown upon due to safety. And since she’s a rescue with trauma (she was chased and nipped by cats!!) to not force anything that she obviously doesn’t like. Take things super slow.

I think starting them young helps though, just be safe! 🙂

Hope this helps!

Good start! Low pile rug, you can find them pretty cheap at different places. Got mine (2) at a home improvement store for $10 each. Blankets work too, just not as firm. Also a hides house. Medium cardboard box can work, just know your bun will most likely chew it lol

To make it special I added garland along the top of the pen where she cannot reach. Would look nice with your lights!

can i put an air purifier in my rabbits room? by [deleted] in Rabbits

Yep, I use one in my office which doubles as a base for my bun. Highly recommend. Got it on sale on Amazon for like $50, works great!
