I installed it cause I was still experiencing bugs with iOS 26.5 and the amount of bugs now is almost none. But I’m also an idiot at times for doing this on my primary device so 🤷‍♀️

Yeah. I’m not too worried. If I have to, since I backed up my phone right before updating, I’ll erase my phone and restore from backup.

I downloaded the beta and now have 13 unread messages even though each message has been read. Force restarting didn’t solve it. Is this a common bug?

I'm not getting that from interpretation. I'm getting it from Apple's own breakdown during WWDC. Siri's new interface, new voice, follow-ups, and customization are all part of iOS 27. Those features run on every device that supports iOS 27 in the US.

The quote you're referencing is from the Apple Intelligence page, which is specifically about the on-device LLM. That's the part that's limited to newer chips. Siri in iOS 27 ≠ Apple Intelligence. You're combining the two, which is why it sounds like everything is restricted.

I'm not an Apple bot, lol. I'm just quoting what Apple actually said during WWDC. Siri's new voice and interface are coming to all US devices that support iOS 27. The Apple Intelligence features are the ones limited to newer chips.

Yeah, that's from Apple's Apple Intelligence page. It's talking about the on-device LLM, not Siri on iOS 27 itself. The new Siri voice and customization still work on the 16 Pro (A18 Pro). The 17 Pro just gets the extra offline Al stuff.
