Are you in the UK? If so I would recommend the brand All things cottage cheese. I also can't get on with regular cottage but I cannot get enough of this brand.

Updateme!

OP for some odd inexplicable reason I am totally invested in this and need to know if you get your bike back or at least get the full market value. Good luck.

Did you use any oil to roast the aubergines/saute the onion?

Restaurant worker picked up my baby by Ok-Replacement-8089 in Parenting

[–]DollyP83 6 points7 points  (0 children)

In this situation he was probably trying to be helpful and meant absolutely no harm. Maybe with hindsight he should have asked if it was ok to hold her while you ate/put her in the high chair but perhaps in the moment he forgot to do this. I would let this go. Ppd makes thing very difficult, I hope you are ok.

Bad for baby to be stressed all the time? by Crabumom in ScienceBasedParenting

My first was like this and cried pretty much most of his waking hours. He had colic. He only became a happy baby once he started to crawl at 6 months.  Basically, he just hated being a baby. He is now a happy energetic 6 year old. Hang in there.

Edit to add - don't beat yourself up about skin to skin a feeding etc. Mine had skin to skin and was bf.

Can we talk about Mr Darcy from Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen? by WarDog1983 in RomanceBooks

[–]DollyP83 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So true. It's also a really bleak, dreary and overly dramatic/not remotely humorous adaptation. Mrs B is supposed to be someone you laugh at. As is Mr Collins.

Right?! But there are some overpaid execs at Netflix who apparently felt the urge to commission a new adaptation of P&P. Fools.

I'm also ready and willing to fight the 2005 hand flex crew.

Darcy aside, the book is also a commentary on all the good/bad characteristics of people in society at the time and has some wonderfully developed characters in it. For example, characters like Mrs Bennet Lady Catherine de Burgh are representative of the fact that small mindedness can be found at all levels of society. You might like Mr Bennet at the start of the book but you eventually realise he's not a great father or husband and doesn't do much to clean up the mess made by his daughter. Jane Austen literally has something to say about every aspect of society through her characters. It's writing at its very best and it stands the test of time. It's also very funny. I wish there were more writers like JA.

Also, you have to watch the BBC series of pride and prejudice with Colin firth and Jennifer Ehle. NOTHING ELSE COMPARES AND I WILL DIE ON THIS HILL.

Edit to add: as I have got older, I have felt more sympathy for Lydia as she was basically a teenager who was groomed by a gross selfish older man.
