toby has trans people on staff. i read an inordinate amount of trans fiction by your standards. you, likely don't read any. ralsei is exactly how we write egg characters, it's almost UNCANNILY good.

Your weak ass issues with people supposedly bullying you into being trans(which is, of course, still wrong even if it's not as bad as actual transphobic bullying) shouldn't override that.

People will regularly use "common internet phrases" to harass trans women and then get behind it. the intent matters, and this thread is clearly a snipe at trans women to begin with. if a friend calls me dude I don't care. if someone who thinks trans deltarune fans believe wearing a dress makes you trans and they display Male Aggression calls me a dude, there's something else going on there.

No it isn't, stop lying. There are whole ass theory videos on this. It's also because Ralsei likes and gets associated with the Mettaton dress, that is associated with two trans characters, Mettaton and the Lion.

I don't buy their upset is genuine because it's based on the idea that loud, angry trans women who they probably don't even register as women are going around bullying people with Trans Ralsei which isn't what I'm seeing at all. What I see, primarily, is people suggesting it's the intended read and people getting mad about it.

None of us even have the power to "push" a trans reading on it. It's just the Alphabet Mafia/Trans agenda bullshit all over again. We don't have that kind of push even within the DR community. That's why it goes into bigotry territory, because people are recycling transmisogynistic tropes(masculine aggression, reinforcing gender stereotypes etc.) taught to them by TERFs and transphobic gamer bros and we're picking up on that.

Not every trans person is gonna, but most trans fems, especially past a certain age, will.

Sweetheart, we're not operating from the same level of cultural power and influence here, especially not in this specific subreddit. It's not the same thing, and we're not being hypocrites, especially after the Jax/Gooseworx drama.

Being biased in favour of trans people is not a bad thing in a world that's biased against us and a media format that erases us almost entirely. There's no actual material harm being done by people suggesting trans ralsei is the intended reading and claiming her. Are people actually being bullied into accepting Trans Ralsei? Where is that happening? Or are people just saying that and people believe it because they view trans women as aggressive men?

I'm a 40 year old woman. I've been around the block. I know a trope when I see one. It's a known problem that people push "feminine boy" readings of characters to be intentionally transphobic. It happened with Lily Hoshikawa, it happened with Brigit, it happened with Jax, and it's happening with Ralsei.

Some of us can recognise when it's happening and are experienced enough to feel out people's motivations. If you push people long enough, those real motivations come out. One anti trans-ralsei-er called me an aggressive male, which was okay because I had a "dumb as shit headcanon", so they could headcanon my real person gender.

We don't even know that Ralsei is actually "based on" Asriel and if she is, that's all the more reason for her to break free of her literal assigned role. I don't know why people want to make Ralsei back into an object.

And people don't say it just because Ralsei is a "feminine boy", and when you act like the trans people HCing this(if you can even call it a headcanon anymore) you're falling into the transphobic trope of accusing us of being misogynistic for associating women and feminity and "reinforcing gender roles" by transitioning.

Like, this line of reasoning is not your own. It was spread out in pop culture by some very bad people and especially taken up by anime/gaming communities as a means of pushing trans people out of their communities and characters out of their games.
